Employee Benefits 75%

My goal is to help employers use the powerful tool of employment-sponsored benefits to attract and retain quality employees. Towards that end, I assist employers with all types of benefit plans problems, including taking retirement plans through IRS and DOL voluntary compliance programs, dealing with the intricacies of health care reform, and advising brokers and administrators on their duties under HITECH data breach and health privacy rules. I also perform ERISA due diligence work.

Employment and Labor 25%

I work within a full-service, defense-side employment and labor law department and although my practice primarily involves employment benefit plan issues I also can draft and advise re: employment agreements, termination agreements, and employee handbooks. I frequently help for-profit and not-for-profit employers establish executive nonqualified deferred compensation plans under Internal Revenue Code Section 409A, and advise on how those rules can impact employment and separation agreements.

THE "GO-TO" LAWYER FOR ERISA & HR MATTERS, WITH UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE OF LEGAL NEEDS IN THESE AREAS OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

I have known and referred in Christine to my clients many times over the years. All rave of her knowledge, friendliness and efficiency. In particular, her knowledge of the ERISA and employment law issues that most impact nonprofit organizations (which constitute all of our clients) is without equal. ...Christine is my "go-to" lawyer for ERISA and HR questions. My most recent referral to Christine was within the last month.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
