Background When you get divorced things are not always easy, in fact they could be out right difficult. In my case, I thought I could handle things on my own (meaning no attorney), partly because we were agreeable at the time (you might feel that way to, but a few years down the road your thoughts will change) and partly because I did not feel like I could afford it. Share as much information as you can in the beginning and along the way. If you anticipate something or have knowledge of something, you need to give your quarterback a heads up so he can have the advantage. What you need to know - Your case is going to take some time. Be patient, but listen to Navid and file your RFO in the beginning. Regardless of how you feel or whether or not you want to negotiate, get the RFO in. It will start the clock. - Navid does not work by himself. He is your strategist and point man (only if you request it). He has a team of individuals that will do various jobs. You will need to work with the team and remember that it is your case. You need to take the reins. - If you do not know what is going on, if you have questions, if you see something wrong. Speak up! I am sharing my personal experience with you guys. First of all, when I received notice from my ex-husband who filed for divorce, I didn't think I needed to hire a lawyer! I was 100 percent wrong.
