I was referred to Matthew when I needed help with creating a buyout agreement for a general partnership. I had contacted a handful of lawyers prior to reaching out to him and they were either incredibly rude or way out of my price range. Talking with Matthew was a breath of fresh air. After our initi...al phone call, I immediately called my husband to say "We finally found our guy!" Matthew delivered our first draft in a very timely manner & addressed all of my revision requests to deliver the final version quickly. Normally, I would feel very uncomfortable letting the world know what I did, but with how Matt helped me out, I feel like it's okay. I hired Matt as soon as I got a DUI. All was going well. He was really quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Now the really amazing part. Due to a strugg...le with alcohol dependency, I happened to catch a 2nd DUI. Very embarassed and ashamed, I hid this from Matt for about a week before he emailed me asking me about what had happened. We set up a meeting to discuss everything. I was scared I was going to be scolded or judged due to my addiction and my ill-witted actions. But that didn't happen. Matt wasn't like that. At all. At this point, I was facing 2 DUI's. Matt was able to make both cases line up so we can take care of both cases all in one hearing. I kept telling Matt, to please just keep me out of jail, there's no way I could afford to miss work. Keep me out of jail he did. with 2 DUI's, one with a high BAC, he was able to get me exactly the deal I was looking for. Although he thought we could try to keep fighting the cases, I wanted to get out with the deal he was able to get the judge to come down, which involved some help with alcohol. And he was entirely okay with that. Overall, Matt is very quick to respond to any questions, he is able to work with your schedule when it comes to payments, he is friendly, non-judgmental, and he will push and push to get you the best possible outcome. My son received a DUI of marijuana and I was devastated. I didn't know if I should get an attorney or court appointed attorney; was completely clueless. I've had the pleasure to have bumped into Matthew a few times in the past, not regarding any legal matters, and little did I know he would be representing me in the future. Within roughly 2 months of working on my case, I was not only found "not guilty," but also factually innocent (which is obviousl...y more difficult to achieve.) Some of the biggest reasons I can recommend Matt is that he's smart, honest, and accessible. Your lawyer is a pretty expensive stranger if you can't get a hold of him when you need. Matt was there in person, on the phone, e-mail, or text whenever I needed him. His office assistants are also nice and very helpful with everything administration or communication related. Overall, I'm very pleased with Matt, his practice, and the outcome of the case. Should I ever need an attorney again, Legacy Councel will definitely be my first thought.
