Angela S Kuo

Ms. Kuo received her undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. After graduation, Ms. Kuo worked as an accountant before pursuing her legal education at the University Of La Verne College Of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.). 

While in law school, Ms. Kuo was President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, Dean of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and Secretary for the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She was an Oral Argument Finalist at the Appellate Advocacy Intra School Competition. She was the recipient of the Pro Bono Publico Award for her contributions in the community including organizing and leading the Mock Trial Committee for local elementary school students. 

Her previous work experience includes Family Law and Employment Law in a private firm in Southern California, Municipal Law at the Santa Ana City Attorney’s Office, and Federal Criminal Law at the U.S. Department of Justice – U.S. Attorney’s Office. 

She currently volunteers with the Alameda County Bar Association’s Volunteer Legal Services to provide free legal assistance to low-income individuals residing in Alameda County. Additionally, she is an adjunct Professor at DeVry University and University of Phoenix teaching in the areas of Business Law and Criminal Justice. 

In her spare time, she loves the great outdoors including swimming, hiking, and diving. She is a certified sailor through the American Sailing Association and a certified diver through Scuba Schools International since 2005.
