Traumatizing is how I would describe the recent experience with my landlady. Our apartment building was full of mold and water damage, and this awful woman tried everything in her power to avoid fixing the problems, including attempting to evict tenants in multiple units. I, unfortunately, was one of... these tenants. After constant harassment from The Landlady from Hell and a court date looming, I had to find a lawyer. I have never needed to hire a lawyer and had no idea where to find one who would be honest, competent, and ethical. After reading reviews, I contacted Yousef. There was an urgency to the situation because the 60-day window where an unlawful detainer case is sealed was soon up and once that goes public (regardless of the outcome of the case), future landlords see "eviction" and run for the hills. So, it was really important for me to protect my name, as I am a renter who always pays on time and simply got stuck dealing with a vindictive landlady. After some emailing back and forth, Yousef called me that evening. He spoke with me at length, patiently answering the 372 questions I had and advising me on what to do...before I paid him a dime or signed a contract. After hiring him, Yousef filed an ex parte Motion to Seal and successfully went before the judge to get the case sealed. He then at a later date represented me in the actual UD case. We went through a mediator and the landlady tried to pull some moves, but Yousef showed up like a boss and handled the situation. It was like having a friend stick up to the bully in school for you. The case was dismissed with prejudice. Throughout the entire process, Yousef answered all of my emails and responded right away. I was thoroughly impressed and am forever grateful to him. This guy knows his stuff, he is professional, and he is not just out to fill his pockets. He is what law should be. A solid person and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

After a tricky situation with my current housing, I found myself with the task of finding an affordable and knowledgeable attorney in a very short period of time. Very short. I spoke to a couple different attorneys and researched even more here on Avvo, but decided to have Mr. Monadjemi handle my cas...e. I was very impressed with the number of good reviews Yousef has here on Avvo and after his handling of my case, I can say that he deserves the good reviews. Yousef was very knowledgeable and confident in handling my case. He was always very responsive and kept me informed of what was going on. He answered all correspondence in a timely manner and was very effective. He settled what could have been a lengthy case pretty quickly and I am happy with the outcome. Hopefully I don't find myself in another situation such as this where I need an attorney, but I would not hesitate to consult with Yousef again and would definitely recommend him to others! He is great!

Now I don't really have a reference for this sort of thing as this was my first time having to defend my self in an eviction case, but Yousef was amazing. Unlike others I called, he responded immediately and charged a really reasonable flat fee and saw me that day. When I went in I was freaking out, ...when I left, i felt totally in control. The plaintiff and their lawyer in my case were particularly difficult in my case to get in contact with (they don't use computers.) Yousef had experience with their lawyer in the past, knew this of him, and worked around it. These are very difficult people and he was able to get them to settle per all my terms and conditions without seeing it go to court. He kept me in the loop but didn't stress me out needlessly. He responded quickly and has a nice office. Didn't charge me a penny over what he said he would on the phone and he's a really personable guy. I would definitely definitely use him.
