Fifteen years ago, when I was 21 years old, I purchased a car through Craigslist. The transaction appeared legitimate, and the paperwork seemed in order, so I proceeded with the purchase. Believing I had a valid case, I sought legal representation and came across Yousef Monadjemi, an attorney whom I contacted through Craigslist. During our initial consultation, I explained the entire situation to him, detailing the circumstances of the purchase. Mr. Monadjemi assured me that I had a strong case, despite the fact that I had no written proof of the transaction beyond text messages and the vehicle's bill of sale and pink slip, which were returned to the original owner. After negotiating a fixed retainer fee, Mr. Monadjemi reassured me that this amount would be sufficient to handle the case. However, shortly after receiving the retainer, I noticed a shift in his attitude and communication style. Calls became abrupt, and I sensed a change in tone that I hadn’t encountered during our initial conversations. I remained patient, but when I reached out again after a week for an update, Mr. Monadjemi expressed doubts about the strength of my case. He focused on the lack of documentation, which I had disclosed from the outset, and emphasized how difficult the situation had become, particularly with the original owner potentially resisting a resolution. This abrupt shift in tone was troubling. It seemed as though Mr. Monadjemi was growing more reluctant to pursue the case, especially when he began outlining additional court fees that had not been mentioned during our initial discussions. He conveyed the notion that my case was weaker than originally assessed, and I felt as though he was distancing himself from the matter, despite his initial confidence in my legal standing. While I could acknowledge that the lack of a formal paper trail might complicate my position, what was most troubling was how Mr. Monadjemi led me to believe in a case he knew was likely to fail. At 21, with no legal experience, I trusted his professional judgment, but in hindsight, it became clear that he had taken advantage of my naivety. His actions, particularly after accepting my retainer, reflected a lack of ethical consideration and professionalism. This experience left a lasting impact on me, not only because of the legal setback but also because of the profound sense of betrayal. I had expected more from someone in his position—an officer of the court. The situation fundamentally changed the way I view human interactions, especially in professional settings, and it took years for me to fully process the ramifications of that betrayal. In retrospect, this experience serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of transparency, ethical conduct, and trust in professional relationships. I would not recommend Mr. Monadjemi, given the way he handled my case, and I hope my story helps others navigate similar challenges with more awareness.

I hired Yousef Monadjemi to evict a tenant that is living in one of my properties. We agreed on a flat fee of $1500 which included up to a half day of court. But when the tenant requested a jury trial, he became upset and refused to continue working on the case unless I gave an additional $10,000. I... was shocked and When I asked him why I need to pay him an additional $10,000 when his flat fee is $1500 he became hostile and started screaming at me for being cheap and that he stops working on the case until he get the additional $10,000. It felt to me like no less then an extortion. Be aware! FYI, After posting a review sharing my bad experiences with attorney YOUSEF Monadjemi I received an email from him threatening that if I will not remove the review immediately he will sue me for defamation. We will file a bar complaint as well

Mr. Yousef is the best Attorney in the Valley, he helped me evict my tenants.Before I met him and his group I was trying for over 5 months I couldn't do anything. Until I met him and his wonderful group! They really made a change in the amount of time they have given us. From the beginning Yousef was extremely informative and upfront about how to handle my case. He was always professional and responsive. He explained the various ways to get a difficult section 8 tenant out of my building. I followed his lead and sure enough we arrived at a very positive outcome. ...The tenant moved out with minimal issues, and now I can move on and provide a much better housing experience for the remaining tenants.
