Joseph Mark Lovretovich

I have had the pleasure of having Mr. Lovretovich represent me. I appreciated and respected his hands-on representation along with his candor coupled with his depth of knowledge. Joe is always responsive and I always knew where we were in the proceedings, the potential outcomes, as well as the obst...acles that may be forthcoming. This is an update review to my previous one. I didn't see a way to update my previous review, so I thought I would write another one. So after leaving my previous review on Avvo, I was immediately contacted by one of the attorneys working on my case, via email. He acknowledged my frustration and ...my complaints and apologized for the lack of communication from their law office. We scheduled an appointment to meet at their Woodland Hills office, which is approximately a 60 mile drive for me, one way, to go over my case and meet in person. Unfortunately they were not able to meet me at their Orange County office, where I originally met with them. The day of the meeting in Woodland Hills, I met with the attorney that contacted me, and he was very courtesy and apologetic for the lack of communication. He re-assured me moving forward they will keep me informed about my case and will make sure that whatever the reason for the lack of communication, they will work to make sure it doesn't happen again. We spent some quality time going over my case and making sure all of my questions were answered. He was very professional and took his time. I didn't feel rushed at all. After we were done, he brought in another senior attorney, that is part of the team working on my case, for introduction. He was very cordial and also apologetic for the lack of communication. He provided me with direct contact information and encouraged me to contact him directly if I should need too. I am overall pleased with the way they acknowledged my frustration and realized their lack of communication. This helps rebuild the client and business relationship. I will post another review update as my case comes to an end.

I was fired from a job which I knew was due to age discrimination and Mr Lovretovich spoke to me and took my case.Atty Ellen Cohen handled the case for me and was extremely understanding and kept me informed of everything that was going on with the case.Thanks to her and the whole firm the defendan...ts settled for more than I thought and I owe big thanks to all at the firm who contributed to me winning.

I retained Joseph Lovretovich to represent me against my former employer. After almost 1 year, I called his office and discovered they forgot about my case and quickly filed my lawsuit. I had the displeasure of speaking to his wife at one point. The woman has a profane mouth and brags that she fears ...no one. So much for professional business acumen. After 2 years, I was contacted by Ellen Cohen, a partner at the firm. She was aggressive and said I did not have a case because I failed to provide evidence to support my allegations I was subjected to wrongful termination. It took 2 years! Mr. Lovretovich suggested I withdraw my case and accept a puny settlement, despite having been slandered or decide if I wanted to proceed with my case. I told him I wanted to proceed and a few days later he sent me an email stating that he could not represent me further and that I would have to seek substitute counsel. Over a period of almost 2 weeks I entered into a war of words with Mr. Lovretovch who sent me an email from opposing counsel, containing the alleged terms of the settlement but not an actual settlement agreement. He lied in his emails, alleging I had been sent responses when he knew he never responded to my inquiries. I found his blatant deviation from the truth disturbing. At one point, he resigned by email (?) but after I contacted opposing counsel, he urged me not to do so again and stated I was not helping my cause. I thought he had resigned? Several days later I received a more than 10 page settlement agreement which was much longer and detailed than the one paragraph record of terms. Mr. Lovretovich and his entire firm should be avoided. They also don't return calls, don't always respond to emails, and each time you call, he has a different paralegal.

Joseph Lovretovich was very helpful with my case and listened to me when other lawyers were too busy. It really seemed like he cared and he fought for me and what was right. He was very responsive and determined and made the process as painless as possible. He is very knowledgeable and I would hig...hly recommend him to my family and friends. I am very grateful for Joseph Lovretovich and I will definitely go back to his firm should I need his counsel in the future.
