Joseph Mark Lovretovich

An excellent and trusted attorney in a different area of practice, whom I’ve known for years, referred me to Mr. Lovretovich when I found myself in need of an attorney who specializes in employment law. I spoke with Joe Lovretovich numerous times regarding my increasingly difficult circumstances. W...ithout fail, in addition to providing sage advice, Joe was supportive, generous, patient, and kind. From initial consultation through favorable resolution of my case, each member of the JML firm with whom I interacted -- reception; legal assistant; paralegal; the attorneys managing my case (Christina and Jared are extraordinary); and, of course, Joe Lovretovich -- was professional, respectful, courteous and friendly, responsive (!), and always inspired trust and confidence. Even for the most stoic, a legal dispute is a challenging undertaking, so these qualities are enormously important and valued. Frankly, Joe Lovretovich is ‘one of the good guys’, and I’m quite certain that his firm’s culture and the people who comprise the JML Law team are not coincidences; which are the reasons I have recommended JML Law in the past and would do so again, without hesitation.

I originally called, just to see if I had a case. After explaining my situation, I was told that I did. With no understanding of what was going on, my team helped me get through all the "Lawyer speak", and talked to me like a friend, not just another client. This is an update review to my previous one. I didn't see a way to update my previous review, so I thought I would write another one. So after leaving my previous review on Avvo, I was immediately contacted by one of the attorneys working on my case, via email. He acknowledged my frustration and ...my complaints and apologized for the lack of communication from their law office. We scheduled an appointment to meet at their Woodland Hills office, which is approximately a 60 mile drive for me, one way, to go over my case and meet in person. Unfortunately they were not able to meet me at their Orange County office, where I originally met with them. The day of the meeting in Woodland Hills, I met with the attorney that contacted me, and he was very courtesy and apologetic for the lack of communication. He re-assured me moving forward they will keep me informed about my case and will make sure that whatever the reason for the lack of communication, they will work to make sure it doesn't happen again. We spent some quality time going over my case and making sure all of my questions were answered. He was very professional and took his time. I didn't feel rushed at all. After we were done, he brought in another senior attorney, that is part of the team working on my case, for introduction. He was very cordial and also apologetic for the lack of communication. He provided me with direct contact information and encouraged me to contact him directly if I should need too. I am overall pleased with the way they acknowledged my frustration and realized their lack of communication. This helps rebuild the client and business relationship. I will post another review update as my case comes to an end.

I was fired from a job which I knew was due to age discrimination and Mr Lovretovich spoke to me and took my case.Atty Ellen Cohen handled the case for me and was extremely understanding and kept me informed of everything that was going on with the case.Thanks to her and the whole firm the defendan...ts settled for more than I thought and I owe big thanks to all at the firm who contributed to me winning.
