Samera I. Habib

I’m a current client of Samera Habib and I have to leave my experience here unfortunately some thing I really don’t to do, but I need to warn other parents, especially fathers that Samera Habib and her partners have not been handling my case well. The problem is that it appears that they’re billin...g practices are just not honest and as a result, I wound up spending tens of thousands of dollars without receiving a single valid document including them repeatedly ignoring my requests to file a substitution on my case with the court, and instead they dragged that on which cost me tons of thousands of dollars and supposedly documentation and research fees, none of which amount to that closely resembled the facts of my case. Inevitably, it seems like I was targeted or so, because of my vulnerabilities as a father whose case is against a licensed therapist which has made demonstrating facts and seeking justice and truth that much more challenging. This allowed them to perpetually gaslight me which resembled psychologically abusive tactics of hostage taking. At this point it seems like they completely fail to take into account the many hours of research, all-hands on deck meetings, and the introduction of four professionals who were supposed to be on top of my critical case I was enticed into paying top rate for. I am certain that they completely lost focus of my case objective to seek the best interest and welfare of my children, and cycle after cycle of poor performance and I concede it has all been about weekly billing and maintaining a retainer, without delivering a single valid document. Cycle after cycle I have complied, with small degrees of dispute vocalized and my concerns about billing practices and poor performance repeatedly going on deaf ears. It seems as long as they were capable of keeping the facade of representation going they are ok with that, ultimately blaming me telling me that “it is too early to file”. Meanwhile they have without any hesitation collected tens of thousands in fees, of which thousands were billed even before informing the court that they are being paid on my case. I would be cautious too about these reviews which admit that they don’t patronize Samera’s legal profession. I am a current customer who has reached the point that find it necessary to warn others.

I am very unhappy with my experience with Mrs. Habib and the entire Dadvocates lawfirm. I hired them thinking they will fight for my rights but instead felt taken advantage of and disrespected. I only spoke with Mrs. Habib on the initial consultation. Once I payed the retainer I never spoke to her ag...ain and was told by her associates that she no longer feels confident going forward with my case for emergency custody after I submitted my evidence. They clearly have too large of a client base and DO NOT give the clients the attention and effort they deserve. I have never wrote a review in my life but I feel the responsibility to save the next unfortunate person from wasting their time. Not only did they keep my retainer of $1,750 but I also got charged two separate charges totalling over $3,500 for absolutely NOTHING. No motions were filed at all. This lawfirm is exactly was wrong with the modern day justice system. STAY AWAY !!!

DO NOT use this firm. After the initial conversation, they said my divorce was as easy as it gets and they couldn't see me spending more than the $5K retainer. That was the longest conversation I had with anyone at the firm. In 30 days they had maxed out my CCs & proceeded to tell me that I had al...so used up the retainer. They charged a rate of $350 an hour and would send emails w/ no attachments so the chain was going back and forth while they charged hourly for their incompetence (I assume on purpose). They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help in anyway and we parted ways 30 days after I hired them. I was left with such a bad taste that I chose not to hire another lawyer and took the rest of the divorce on myself. I got it negotiated, signed, finalized & completed myself in less than 2 weeks w/ a total paid of $250. I wish I would have preferred to just give my Son/Ex the $10K rather than it going to these crooks. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS; You will be watching your bank account empty with your arms in the air wondering where/what/when/why/how too...

I contacted The Dadvocates online seeking a consultation about child custody and other issues regarding a petition for legal separation that my spouse and I have jointly filed. They said Samera was not scheduling consultations with new clients and turfed me off to a different attorney. It became appa...rent after a few minutes into the consultation that the other attorney - a criminal defense attorney who has only practiced family law in Colorado for a couple years - had no familiarity with the Colorado legal separation law. I said I would like to consult with Samera directly, but instead they refunded my money and refused to help.

Even though not many personal visits were able to be sone due to my husband traveling, this law firm knew the case in and out and was able to Get my husband his visitation rights and joint custody was also awarded. They were very knowledgeable and powerful team work was definitely present!!! Dads... that are fighting for there rights, this firm definitely has your back!!!
