Spoke with Cheyla about my workplace situation, and was impressed by the process from start to finish. Here’s what my experience was like: First, I spent 5-10 minutes on a call with an intake representative from their firm. I’d recommend having the following information handy for this intake cal...l: start date, end date, employer name, employer office address, number of employees, and a 3-5 sentence overview of your situation. The same day, Cheyla texted me letting me know they were reviewing my information and shared a PDF with helpful employment law information. A little bit later, she texted me a Calendly link to schedule a 1:1. During the 1:1 with Cheyla, I shared a detailed timeline of events and Cheyla asked follow up questions as they came up. For this call, it’s very helpful to prepare your timeline in advance, so you don’t forget anything or have to spend time searching your records for a specific date. Once she better understood my circumstances, Cheyla let me know why I may not be a good candidate for her services at this time. Not only that, she also gave me a summary of what my options were and even referred me to another lawyer, who I could contact if I wanted to go a specific direction. She shared the pros/cons of each option and made sure I was aware of any time-sensitive legal factors that could impact my case. She also gave me her cell phone number and told me to reach out at any time with questions Overall, I’d highly recommend this firm to others. Given how stressful workplace matters can be, it was a huge relief to talk to an expert who heard me out and answered my questions.
