Mr. Merrill is just a disappointing experience

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the consultation I had with Ms. Merrill. From the beginning of the call, I was repeatedly interrupted and not given a fair opportunity to explain the details of my situation. Nearly every attempt I made to speak or clarify the facts was cut ...short. This made it impossible to properly present the context of my case. Additionally, I found Ms. Merrill’s tone to be dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. Rather than listening to my concerns, she appeared to minimize them and responded in a manner that felt condescending and unprofessional. The interaction felt more like being reprimanded than participating in a professional legal consultation. Prior to the call, Ms. Merrill asked me to send all of my supporting materials, including documentation and a video recording. I promptly provided everything requested. However, during the consultation it became clear that the evidence I submitted had not been reviewed at all. This was particularly frustrating, as I had taken the time to organize and provide the information she specifically requested. My reason for seeking legal assistance was straightforward: I wanted guidance and help with sending a cease-and-desist letter regarding an ongoing dispute. Instead, the conversation was quickly redirected toward pursuing a defamation lawsuit and discussing statutes of limitation—topics that were not relevant to the assistance I was seeking. When I attempted to return the discussion to the original issue, my concerns were again dismissed. Overall, the consultation was a deeply disappointing experience. I felt unheard, disrespected, and unable to meaningfully communicate the facts of my case. I believe a professional consultation should involve listening to a client’s concerns, reviewing the materials provided, and engaging in a respectful and constructive discussion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience in this case.

Unprofessional and rude

Not surprised to find out that there is a very low star rating here. Ms. Merrill repeatedly dismissed my disclosures of trauma with a tone of contempt, treating my consult with an attitude as if a trivial issue like a paper cut. Despite my vulnerable information handed to her with trust, she silenced... me during calls, refusing to let me speak calmly or address potential wrongdoing by others. Her demeaning tone and refusal to engage ethically transformed her role from advocate to I dont know what, exacerbating my distress and violating the trust of the attorney-client relationship. Her behavior blatantly disregards professional standards of compassion and diligence.

Professional Liability

It was a complete waste of time trying to talk with this attorney. I was accused of being rude, loud and offensive. A real first for me. She spent most of her time taking her pent up anger out on me. Example "I will not tolerate your type of behavior and raising your voice to me." Huh? She was ...on Speaker Phone and 1 other people heard our entire conversation. They agreed this attorney was "on the edge of a nervous breakdown." I wanted to get off the phone asap, apologized if I had offended her and said that it was not my intention. After that, she criticized me for apologizing, told me to simply change pharmacies and finally admitted that she didn't know anything about the topic in question. It was a totally inane conversation that questioned her own professional liability. That was the legal advice I pay for monthly? I use a pharmacy that is a block away from my home and extremely convenient. However, she didn't even give me time to explain why I wanted to stay there. Obviously, her "Legal Consultation" could have been made by almost anyone. I needed current and specific information that any attorney, listed with that particular specialty, should have had. After she rattled on for a few more minutes, telling me about all her daily frustrations, I thought about sending her a bill for therapy. As a retired Multiperil Commercial Lines Reinsurance Underwriter, I felt relieved that I had not let myself step down to her level of inappropriate incompetence, considered cancelling my membership and finally just chalked it up to what it was = A waste of time. We all have bad days and no one is perfect. The secret is to stay home, or in this case possibly leave work early, until you feel better. Do not try to squeeze in that last phone call if your not up to it. Or use people, paying for professional consultation, as your personal punching bags.

Something is wrong with this lady

Rude, unprofessional and out of control. Something is wrong with this lady. She was supposed to help me, but instead immediately started yelling at me, She wouldn't let me speak. When I asked to speak to another attorney she hung up on me.

Very rude, mean, not professional

Was assigned by Parker Stanbury LLP. I tried to explain the case to her and referring her to my initial wrote. Then she got mad about it and kept accusing me ask her to check the note. I felt surprised that how can we paid a service to such kind mean provider. I think my impression consistent to the... previous reviews i found here.
