Biography
Mrs. McKellar graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006. After graduation she was an intern for the Honorable Nancy Oesterle in Las Vegas Justice Court Department 6. Soon after completing her internship for the Judge, Mrs. McKellar devoted her entire practice exclusively to the area of Family Law by accepting a position at Willick Law Group, where she remained until 2009. After ending her employ at The Willick Law Group, Mrs. McKellar accepted a position at The Dickerson Law Group again practicing in exclusively the area of Family Law, until finally starting her own practice, the Law Offices of Mandy J. Mckellar. Mrs. McKellar is also a recent member of the State Bar of Nevada Ethics committee.
Mrs. McKellar’s published works include,” Love me, Love my dog: Divorce Litigation and the Family Pet.” Nevada Lawyer, September 2008, Volume 16, Issue 9, and “Rivero…The New and Improved Opinion.” Communiqué, February 2010, Volume 31, No. 2. Hired Mandy sept of 2017. She files a motion which cost me 1500 roughly that was rejected and not even heard. She talked to me like I was a little kid and was disrespectful in our face to face conversations. Emailed her paperwork to file in court and she never filed them. Have her legal paperwork...

Over charges and drops the ball
This attorney will always be late for your filings, over charge your account with frivolous charges where her mother (office Manager) picks up some income and is incapable of difficult cases. If your looking for a someone to handle a contested difficult case...keep looking at the larger firms as this...

Replied last November 04, 2013Litigation is not a poor man's sport. If you cannot make an attempt to pay your bill or set up a small monthly payment this is what will happen. That said, if you really cannot afford counsel, the local Pro Bono provider is the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, which can be called at 702-386-1070 (or see their information on the web at http://www.lacsn.org/option,com_jcalpro/Itemid,3/extmode,view/extid,15/). Those that take pro bono cases take them after they have been screened, and assigned, by Legal Aid. The Reduced Fee Panel sponsored by the State Bar can be reached at 702-382-2200. Additionally, there are free consultations offered on Thursdays at the self-help center; volunteer attorneys provide 15-minute consultations, for free, on family law questions. For those that wish to attempt self-representation, forms are available at the Clark County self-help center website, at http://www.clarkcountycourts.us/shc/Supporting%20Documents/self_help_supportingdocs.html. This Firm does not have late filings and rates and fees are competitive. All fees and rates are disclosed. The more difficult and contested the case becomes , the fees and rates will rise accordingly. This is standard for the Legal Industry. Whether the Firm is Large or Small the expectation of maintaining funds in your Trust account and or Retainer account will be expected.
