Brandon K. Leavitt

Brandon "Legit" Leavitt is an extraordinary advocate in my case. He is - and not was - because Brandon will always be my attorney for as long as I will need a persuasive, passionate, and powerful voice in Family Court. Brandon and his team unquestionably perform at peak level (shout out to Kimberly Taylor, a true rockstar paralegal extraordinaire). Brandon's exremely high ethics command respect, and his resolve under pressure is absolute. Brandon tried so hard and was relentless in his many attempts to reach resolution BEFORE legal remedy in front of our judge. And when it was abundantly clear the other side was not going to negotiate in good faith, Leavitt & Flaxman, with Brandon and Kimberly leading, charged into legal battle. The fact that Brandon gave every opportunity to opposing counsel to work on resolution with fair compromise, even at percieved disadvantage to himself at times, showed me that he truly cares about the family unit. Brandon understands the value of co-parenting, reduced conflict, and children's best interest above all else. But if the bully is going do what bullies do, Brandon will be there to speak the bully's language, legally. The results of Brandon's representation of my case could not even be imagined by me, and far exceeded my expectations. The AVVO attorney rating of 10.0 doesn't meet the level; they need to make a special score of 10+, or 11 for who I will affectionately call Brandon "Legit" Leavitt!

I was going for primary custody of my son and Brenda knew that and he let me know there is always a chance for 50-50, the big issue was that when he represented me in court he didn’t even put up a fight for me or my son. He just let my son‘s dad and his attorney just have everything that he want it, ...I wish I would’ve went to a different attorney that would’ve thought for me and my son. I fired Brandon and hired a new attorney that helped me actually put up a fight for me but by that time it was already too late because our temporary over was 50-50 which like I said Brandon agreed to and didn’t even try to put up a fight for primary. He wasn’t helpful for anything, if anything I feel like he was working with my ex and his attorney to get whatever he wanted. Moms please go to someone else.

Brandon is an outstanding, family-centered, person of integrity. I am happy to recommend him. I hired Brandon in 2017, completely nervous and carrying "baggage" from a highly abusive, complicated 15 year marriage. I started my divorce process slightly mistrusting and likely difficult to work with,... in some ways. Through it all, Brandon stayed calm, focused, helpful, aware, knowledgable, supportive, kind, trustworthy and respectful. Brandon helped me get every single thing I had hoped for, and more, in the end--- safety for me and my children, financial stability and a positive future.

I have to agree with Rodney about Mr Leavitt. During my case, Mr Leavitt consistently failed to address important issues with opposing counsel outside the courtroom which resulted in missed time with my children and a sense of entitlement in the opposition that they could do whatever they wanted wit...hout being held accountable. This was in addition to me needing to question many of his numerous inexplicable recommendations to concede issues unnecessarily "as a show of good faith"; these recommendations seemed to be designed more to avoid him having to stand up and advocate for his client than to effectively address anything. In the courtroom, Mr Leavitt either didn't argue relevant points or conceded them far too quickly to the opposition despite being against his fiduciary duty to represent his client's best interests. I was forced to find new counsel after Mr Leavitt gave grossly inaccurate information and guidance which resulted in me not being able to see one of my children until I perform a financially impossible task. New counsel and opposing counsel have both confirmed that there were other options available to address this particular issue which Mr Leavitt did not disclose, leading me into a very difficult and damaging position which could have been avoided. I must strongly recommend against using Mr Leavitt.
