Biography
Salim Khayoumi is a seasoned attorney with deep roots in New Mexico, having completed his education at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico in 2005 with a degree in Sociology and earned his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2008. Upon returning to New Mexico, Salim began his career as a prosecutor, handling a spectrum of cases in the state’s District Attorney’s Office.
Transitioning to civil litigation, Salim focused on representing clients in complex cases, including medical malpractice and negligence. His legal proficiency led to a $24 million verdict in 2023, demonstrating his commitment to client advocacy. As an integral part of Buchanan Law, Salim is recognized by peers, with honors such as Top 100 Trial Lawyer and Southwest Super Lawyer Rising Star.

great service and professionalism

Best personal injury lawyer
Having someone like Mr Salim khayomi represent you on an injury case while you have to do daily duty towards taking care of your family and besides going for doctors visits and work is big plus to have him on your side taking care of legal issues

Mr. Khayoumi is a very experienced and knowledgeable lawyer. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who finds themselves in a DWI mess here in NM. He got all my charges dismissed on a DWI 2nd. Also a very humble and friendly man. Thank you again Salim!

The best attorney
