Brian Weekley is the attorney you need to represent you

I would recommend Brian for handling any workmen's compensation claim. He is very knowledgeable about the complex set of workmen's compensation laws in our state of Az. He answers every question you have, and you know he really cares for you as a person. He always returns your phone calls as soon as... possible and tells you the truth about each issue. I am very happy that Brian is my attorney and how he is handling my case.

The right man for the Job!

After my workers comp case was closed, I knew I needed help with the appeal process. I contacted Brian about my case, He made me feel like everything would be ok. I was always treated like a real person and not just a number in a file. He was right there for me through the whole process, appeals, ...Dr. appointment, questions...I could never have made it through all the ups and downs without Brian. He was able to get my case reopened and collect all my back benefits from the insurance carrier. I am now getting ready for my surgery, that would never have been possible with out the help of Brian Weekley. I am so grateful for him and all he has done for me and continues to do. He not only became my attorney, he became a friend. I know that when I need him he will be there for me.

Would NOT recommend

What a HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT use this lawyer. Not only did he stop fighting for me after he was retained and getting a portion of my checks, but he switched me to a different lawyer in the middle of my case. They did not tell me when the hearings were so I couldn’t even be apart of my own case ...(after I told them I wanted to). Then when my new lawyer quit the firm, I was put back with the Mr. Weekly and not even told about it. I received an email a few days later saying I lost the case (I am an injured front line Covid nurse who’s now unable to work). When I asked to appeal the decision, my lawyer withdrew as my attorney. He promised to fight for me. Initially he said, "as a nurse you take care of everyone else, now let me take care of you." He did not even try. He got his money, hook, line, and sinker, and went on his way. Very unprofessional, heartless, non caring, & disorganized. Please, please find better representation!

With 34 years practicing at and before the Industrial Commission of Arizona, I can tell you that cases are won and lost overwhelmingly on the strength of the supporting medical evidence. The injured worker has the burden of proof, so their evidence must be substantial in order to meet this burden. My response to this former client is the following. We took the case, we took it through hearings ( both myself and my associate, whom I worked with for the hearings that he handled) and presented the supporting evidence in the best light possible. We did not stop " fighting for" the client. Clients typically do not attend further hearings and in fact I never recommend it. The losing Decision came in after the associate left our firm and I informed the client. I explained that appeals on resolved medical conflicts do not bear fruit and are an exercise in futility. When a client insists on moving forward, our only recourse is to withdraw as attorney so that they can proceed on their own or with other counsel. I believe that we have an upset ex-client, which I understand. The ALJ resolved the underlying medical conflict against her. I hope that she can find peace with the ICA Decision and move on with her life. As in all cases, we did our very best to represent her.

"Brian is a fantastic attorney in the workers' compensation field. He has many years of experience and is recognized as a certified specialist by the State Bar of Arizona. More over, he has a great reputation in the legal and medical communities and garners many client referals from both. The fact that other attorneys and doctors have the utmost confidence to refer their respective clients/patients to him speaks volumes about his abilities."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
