He did absolutely nothing

I was arrested on a warrant and my mom retained Kurt Helgesen for me. After almost 2 weeks, I found out that he had done absolutely nothing on my case. He did not even know the difference between a cash and surety bond. The prosecutor on my case changed three times within a week and he had no expl...anation as to what happened. Maybe he is good for civil cases, but he seemed out of his depth when it came to a complex criminal case.

Melissa, thank you for the feedback. I am sorry to hear that you feel nothing was done for you. Please know this is not true. As you know, we never actually spoke to each other because your arrest took place in another State, where you were being held. Despite my efforts, our only communication with you was through your elderly Mother, I imagine there must have been some miscommunication. I cared very much about your case and did all that I could to negotiate the terms of your release and avoid extradition. Ultimately, your waiver of certain rights in the other State made that impossible. Please call me, I'd be happy to speak with you in more detail about your concerns.

Very Non Professional

Very non professional lawyer. We went to trial and he did not even know my case. I would not recommend him or his firm at all. I was constantly calling him to get an update on my case and he never had answers and charged me for the phone calls.

Kurt Helgesen

I hired Kurt to help me with a custody dispute. He was well prepared and was always one step ahead of the other lawyer. He prepared me for the best or worst that could happen. Made my court dates so much easier! I was very impressed with my lawyer. Would recommend him to anyone.

Went above and beyond my expectations!

I could not have picked a better lawyer for my traffic case. While traveling through Utah, I got a speeding ticket and an expired registration ticket. Not only did I miss my court date, I lost my temper one day and sent a very insulting, offensive email to the court. Kurt worked his magic for a ve...ry reasonable fee and reduced my case to just the speeding ticket. I am still doing cartwheels for joy. Great lawyer, would recommend him to anyone.

Amazing, and very knowledgeable!

Kurt exceeded his duty as my lawyer! He went above and beyond to defend me and help me understand my rights in my case. My case was difficult since it dealt with parties in another state, but he found journals that were similar to my situation that he presented in court. He really did his homework. I... have worked with multiple lawyers and have never been as satisfied as I have been with Kurt. I know you can trust him to get the job done the way you feel is best for You.
