Seth A Grob

Seth was our lawyer for our three surrogacies (as intended parents). He was efficient, nice and precise. Ethically, his standards are high which always matters of course, but which is, in his field, extremely important. As a lawyer myself (of a very different field: I'm French living in France), I'v...e been able to notice how serious his way to work is.

Spoiler alert: All lawyers are expensive. Have you ever paid for something you really wanted and in the end you walked away empty handed? We attempted to handle our adoption case on our own but after many obstacles, clerical mistakes by the county and too much time, we decided to contact an attorne...y. Seth Grob came highly recommended from various sources. After we met with him, hired him, and began the process of adoption, we were told he was the right man for the job. Actually, we were told that there are truly only 3 adoption attorneys in the State who know what they're doing, and Seth is one of them! (The other two weren't revealed to us.) Our open-adoption (kinship/custodial) was expedited through the system because he could wisely anticipate the next obstacle and he was prepared with a solution. Yes, Seth Grob is expensive. But we didn't walk away empty handed! Our arms are full! We have a baby! Our baby has a home! And we have the birth certificate to prove it. I wish it wasn't so expensive, it wasn't in our budget, but, hey, who thinks they can afford another baby?

Seth is a very knowledgeable and realistic attorney. I met with him before I committed to starting a family with assisted reproduction (surrogacy). He gave me a no nonsense outline of the necessary steps and legal hurdles as well as costs. We talked about the legal risks and ways to mitigate them,... but also with realistic assessment of complexities of assisted reproduction. During the contract phase, Seth was very responsive and often had to respond to critical deadlines created by the timing of fertility cycles. Before choosing an attorney I did a lot of research and I found few with Seth's knowledge and experience in this highly complex and specialized legal domain. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering adoption or assisted reproduction meet with Seth to get an honest assessment.
