Jeffery L. Weeden

Hiring Jeffery Weeden as my lawyer was the absolute best legal decision I have ever made. From the beginning he took an interest in my case and kept me up on all the details and was straight forward with me on everything I might not have want to hear so I wasn't blind sided by it later in court, whic...h is what you want in a great lawyers. I was facing multiple drug felony charges and he got it down to a single misdemeanor charge and very little probation time and I did had prior charges, which makes it especially difficult to get new felony charges down to misdemeanors. I remember walking out of the court room shell shocked at how well it went. Having never been in trouble with the law (not even a speeding ticket), I was terrified when I was arrested for domestic violence following an argument with my husband. Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work. From day 1, always had my best interest in mind and made sure he was completely open and honest throughout the entire promise. Earlier this year, my son ended up with some "not so desirable" charges against him....terrifying charges, actually. He had never been in trouble before, so this was all new VERY scary territory for us. When I realized we were going to need a lawyer, (and because we'd never done this before, so I did...n't even know HOW to start the process), I started perusing the websites, hoping one or two lawyers would jump out at me. No sooner had I logged onto AVVO and Jeffery Weeden's profile came up. His perfect 10 rating really did jump out at me and after I had read ALL of his reviews, as well as searching his personal website, I was pretty sure this was the lawyer to hire. Upon speaking with Jeffery, he reassured this freaked out mama that we were doing the right thing and that he would do all he could to make sure things were going to be ok. He was very reassuring to both me and my son and started working immediately on getting a new trial date set. All along the way, he kept in contact and kept the both of us updated on the case (my son lives in a different town, so he was having to call each of us separately). He patiently answered any and all questions the both of us had, no matter how simplistic or even silly they may have been. On the day of court, both my son and myself were extremely scared and nervous. Even though Jeffery had "prepared for battle" in going through trial, it was looking as though accepting a plea bargain was going to be the way to go. My son had all but decided to go that route, when all of a sudden, Jeffery returned from speaking with the DA and informed us the case was being dismissed. Wait....what??? These types of cases almost NEVER get dismissed! Upon hearing the judge call my son to the stand, the DA announced that indeed the case was being dismissed. I cannot express how both my son an I were feeling at that moment. It was awe, elation and complete and utter relief that it was FINALLY over! Jefferey escorted us out of the courtroom, congratulating us the whole time, when we were the ones who were trying to congratulate him on a job well done...he had pulled off the nearly impossible! Not only did he escort us out of the courtroom, he continued to stay by our side while conferring with the court clerk to get all of the paperwork handled, and continued to congratulate us all the way to the parking lot. Although this was my first experience in hiring a lawyer, I would absolutely most definitely hire Jeffery again (hopefully we won't need to, but just in case!). I would whole heartedly, 100% recommend him to anyone facing the kind of charges my son was up against, as he is walking away from this case with nary a blemish on his record...you can't ask for much more than that! Bottom line....Jeffery is an awesome attorney!!
