Barlow Anderson moved to Colorado in 2011 to attend school at Denver University Sturm College of Law. After graduating in 2014, Barlow began work as an Associate Attorney at a highly reputable family law firm that specialized in fathers’ rights and large asset dissolution and allocation cases. While there, Barlow recognized an imbalance between the cost of legal representation and the clients’ needs and expectations.
Understanding much of the high cost of litigation comes from parties’ inability to proactively reach just and equitable resolution, Barlow worked toward equitable ends and kept his clients informed of their rights and responsibilities under Colorado law. After nearly two years, he began work as a Law Clerk to two District Court judges in the 18th Judicial District’s Douglas County. Assisting his judges in Criminal, Civil, Family, Probate, and Mental Health fields of law, Barlow discovered the importance of making the legal process clear and approachable to the public.
Barlow’s love for the law sprouted from personal experiences which led him to law school, but he looks for every opportunity to enjoy the real reason he moved to Colorado, his love of the outdoors.
An experienced outdoorsman, Barlow has been rock climbing, ice climbing, white water kayaking, mountain biking, and fly fishing for more than fifteen years. Whether hundreds of feet up granite cliffs or Colorado surfing (freestyle whitewater kayak surfing), he makes the most out of everything he does. But what he really looks forward to is training his son and daughter to join him on his crazy adventures.
Most recently, Barlow spends much of his free time instructing new motorcycle riders and is putting more time into motorcycle racing.
Barlow also has a love of Japanese culture and tradition. In addition to teaching himself Japanese language, he practices Kendo (Japanese fencing) and Iaido.
The best part about Barlow's life are his son and daughter. Barlow is so proud of his near-teen son who is growing and excelling in school, and Barlow's toddler daughter keeps him and his family on their toes! Fortunately, Barlow enjoys a very successful coparenting relationship with his ex-wife, which is helping to ensure their son has an amazing childhood.

I have been truly blessed to have come across Mr. Barlow. I know that God sent him my way. Child custody is never easy, but he has walked me through every step of the process and has been responsive since day one. Barlow Anderson represented me at a post decree hearing. He came into my case after my previous lawyer made huge mistakes. Barlow did an excellent job getting up to speed on my case and knocked it out of the ballpark at my hearing. His previous experience working for judges in the 18th district re...

"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Anderson is an excellent attorney, a great colleague, and a fine man. He is a hard worker and very conscientious about his work product. Mr. Anderson does not rely on his memory or how he did it the last time but rather he researches the law and reads it specifically for the case he is working on. He studiously reviews the facts of each case and applies the law as it appropriate for that case. He never lets his ego get in the way of serving his clients. He is willing to compromise when doing so will help his clients but is not afraid to go to trial if it is the right thing to do."
"I endorse Mr. Anderson without reservation. He deeply cares about his clients, has a keen eye for detail, and is a tenacious and diligent advocate."
"I endorse this Attorney Anderson. We've worked together and he is a tenacious fighter and an excellent technical attorney. I recommend him without hesitation."
