Earned every one of his five stars.

I am a plastic surgeon, and in the first 2 years of my practice, I was met with an unfortunate situation involving the medical board for an accused administrative violation. I consulted with my professional liability insurance company, and they put me in touch with Mr. Weitz. We went over the details... of the complaint and throughout the entire process, Mr. Weitz was available, always prepared, professional, and had a fantastic grasp of the laws surrounding my situation. We presented our case at an informal hearing in Austin, and the case was dismissed with very little deliberation. I cannot say enough kind words about Tim and his brother, Mark for helping me through this situation. We live in a world where people are dishonest, spiteful, and just unfair. It is comforting to know that Tim will always be a resource for me as I grow my practice. Thank you Tim for your professionalism and expertise.

Above and beyond

Without Tim Weitz to help me after being denied at committee I am certain I would not be working today. I had success with him in my corner four years prior but he even exceeded those high expectations this time when I was nearing hopelessness. He coordinated the reapplication strategy with my licens...e consultant, rallied my department chair and hospital administration around me to chip away at a seemingly insurmountable problem. What started as a glimmer of hope while debriefing him on the phone grew over time and concluded with the committee handing down the best possible outcome available to me. Any attorney can decipher legalese or prepare you for the scariest twenty minutes of your career, but it takes an advocate like Tim to shepard you through the darkness and help shoulder the burden when facing an unwinnable fight. Four years ago I hired Tim as well and he was exactly what I needed when I was trying to get my PIT. The TMB can make you feel really intimidated but Mr. Weitz helped me prepare for the hearing and maintain a positive attitude. Since he worked on the other side of the table for a number of years and knows all of the players he helped me anticipate what they were going to ask and was spot-on with the areas of my application the board was going to be most concerned with. After our victory he didn't wash his hands and pack up for the day. He stuck by me and advocated on my behalf until the license was in the hands of my program director. I later learned first hand the respect for him in the community by the actions of the staff willing to work with us on short notice. I kept his card for all of my colleagues and will recommend him to anyone who feels like their careers are over.

AMAZING, PROFESSION ATTORNEY

As a medical professional, I need a trustworthy lawyer to guide me and to protect my interests. Whether it is a simple request by the medical board or an all out battle to prove surgical decision making and treatment, Mr Weitz is the ideal lawyer. As a previous general counsel to the Texas Medical ...Board, his insider knowledge and expertise are second to none. He is no-nonsense, to the point, professional, and surprisingly affordable. You can rest assured he will have your best interests at heart and in mind when he represents you, regardless of the circumstance. He is a former Marine (or current Marine since they are always Marines) and he is as honest as they come. If you have truth on your side, you want Mr Weitz there with you as well. At times, he enlists the expertise of his brother, Mark, to get the job done. Together, they are an amazing duo! One ready to fight for what is right with passion and conviction, the other, calm and steady, ensuring every T is crossed and every i is dotted. You can't get any better than these guys. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!! I have used them to answer inquiries, investigations etc all with a positive outcome. Like I said, if you did the right thing, you want them there to help you prove it!

Extremely satisfied physician

Mr Weitz (He likes to be called Tim) put me at ease regarding my upcoming interview at the Texas Medical Board. He met with me several times despite a very busy schedule with other clients and always made me feel like I was the only client at that moment when we spoke. He got to know me and my case... and was instrumental in his advice and counselling. His instructions for the day of the meeting as well as his knowledge of what was to come put me at ease and took away any fear or concern of the unknown. He prepared me thouroughly for any and all potential questions and we had the best possible outcome, all due to his diligence and preparedness and expertise. I cannot thank Tim enough for his help during this very trying time. We kept in touch via telephone, email, and correspondence. He has kept me in the loop of all decisions and new information; all of this he does himself, not some secretary or junior partner. I am impressed in the caliber of knowledge and expertise and of the thoroughness of his preparation to go in front of the Board. I cannot thank Tim enough for all his hard work and dedication to me and my cause. I recommend him to any of my cohorts that need excellent representation in front of the Medical or other health provider Board.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Tim and I were opposing counsels on numerous occasions. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him as a litigator and as a person. As knowledgeable a defense attorney for Texas Medical Board matters as there is, what truly distinguishes Tim from his peers is the unparalleled passion he utilizes in fighting for his clients’ licenses. Whenever I need a consultation on a Medical Board matter, Tim is the first call I make. His thoroughness and attention to detail translate into favorable decisions for his clients. Tim is one of the few administrative law attorneys who practices the full range of healthcare license defense: from informal settlement conferences, to trying cases at SOAH, to even district court reviews of final agency orders. Finally, as a fellow Judge Advocate, I can attest to Tim’s professionalism resonating throughout the Boardroom and Courtroom."

Relationship: Co-worker

"Tim Weitz is nothing short of an outstanding attorney. I think and have thought for years he was a tireless advocate for his clients. He is selective. He cares. He is intelligent. He knows the law, rules, but also the unwritten policies of the Board, which is critical to know if you want the best possible outcome. He works hard to maintain a reputation for honesty, fair dealing, and as someone who gives all of himself to the cause or challenge in front of him. Tim is respected by other attorneys, by government officials, by Board members, and the medical community. Personally, I learned a tremendous amount about the law and how to conduct myself as a lawyer by watching and learning from Tim. I think he is the best in the business."
