A caring, supportive and exceptional lawyer.
Mr. Jeff McDonald is an exceptional lawyer. He genuinely cares about his clients. He went and beyond in helping me to draft an appropriate response for my medical peer review. He also coached me for the peer review interview and I was able to achieve a favorable outcome. Thank you so much for your support and understanding.

Best Attorney
I had a great experience with Mr. McDonald's firm. Loved the professionalism of the staff and the firm. The whole team is truly dedicated to their clients. Mr. McDonald is very knowledgeable and knows the details about the Texas Medical Board and has a great relationship with The TMB team. He has a plan for the case. The whole team practices with you and make sure you are prepared for any questions that might be asked during a hearing session. I Would recommend the firm. Reasonable pricing and best quality overall.

Expert representation
I retained Mr. McDonald to represent me in a complicated matter with the Texas Medical Board that involved the temporary suspension of my license. He provided outstanding assistance and sound advice for all aspects of the proceedings, and his support came at an extremely tumultuous and difficult time in my personal and professional life. He is extremely knowledgeable and practical, and helped keep me focused on all elements that were necessary for me to face this very difficult chapter in my life. He is direct and open in his synthesis of the facts and approach to legal preparation, at the same time extremely supportive. Importantly, he possesses insight into the totality of the issues (legal and emotional). With his tireless assistance, my case was resolved with a very favorable outcome despite the very difficult issues involved. He is an absolute lifesaver, I cannot begin to express the appreciation my wife and I feel for his demonstrated expertise and talents. I recommend Mr. McDonald wholeheartedly for any matters involving actions by the TMB.

Outstanding Professionalism, Knowledge, and Experience
I am a physician who was applying for a medical license with the TMB. I had a legal matter in my background that made the application process stressful and confusing. I reached out to Mr. McDonald and he was a tremendous resource for me. He helped to navigate me through this difficult process with efficiency and skill, helped me prepare documents for the TMB, and advised me on the process. His comprehensive knowledge in this matter was invaluable. He had the foresight to point out issues that may arise during the application process and address them proactively, which significantly expedited what can be a long and arduous application ordeal. Compassionate, thoughtful, and professional.

Experienced and easy to work with
Mr. McDonald represented me before the TMB. He was consulted on recommendation from a fellow physician who works regularly with the TMB himself. Mr. McDonald’s previous position on the board and his knowledge related to how the board functions were invaluable. He is easy to work with and had me well prepared for my hearing. I would recommend him to anyone who has dealings with the TMB without reservation. Thank you

Professional, Knowledgeable, and genuinely cares. Knows the TMB process very well
Mr McDonald's firm took my case on a very short notice, which required them to come in on the weekend and stay late in the evening to prep me for my Informal Settlement Conferences with the Texas Medical Board. It was very apparent that Mr McDonald had an extremely good professional working relationship with all the members of the TMB, including the attorney "prosecuting" my case. He knew the background of all the various members of the TMB legal team and how to respond to each of them. His firm secured me the best possible outcome from the ICS hearing. After the case, Mr McDonald has contacted me many times to personally follow up on my recovery and put me in touch with other physicians in my area involved in recovery.

The legal guidance, knowledge of hearing proceedings, and the preparation I received from Mr. McDonald turned this very stressful situation into a seemingly painless process when an amazingly good outcome.

Medical Board
Jeff McDonald helped me in a hearing before the Texas Medical Board. His great advantage is that he worked for the board himself before and so knows its internal workings. He was very approachable and competent and got me well prepared for the hearing, including a mock hearing in his practice. I fully recommend him for doctors who have a problem with the Texas Medical Board.

Friendly and helpful lawyer!
If you want a lawyer who cares about you personally and genuinely wants to help you, then Jeff is your guy! Jeff is also incredibly smart and knowledgable, only once did he not know an answer right away but instantly found it and was honest about it. I talked to Jeff (yes I felt very comfortable calling him by his first name even!) about my eligibility to the board of nursing (BON). When I was much younger I was arrested for some minor misdeamenors and the BON requests information and a personal account of ANYTIME you have ever been arrested. I was worried about what I should write and what all information I should send in. Jeff was more than helpful! I was able to email him or call him throughout the process; also he let me send documents through email for his review, so that I didn't have to venture all the way to his office. Jeff also helped to give me a guide as to what I should write in my declaratory order to the BON. This has been such a scary process where I often feel like I am looked at as a terrible person that should never be a nurse. Jeff helped eased my mind, he was never judgemental and told me the truth about what to expect. He assured me that my previous arrests should not totally prevent me from becoming nurse and I feel confident that if there was a problem or issue he would tell me straight up. I also know that Jeff has worked with much bigger cases than mine and know he can handle anything! But, know that Jeff will take your case seriously and professionally no matter how big or small! My case is still pending with the board (as now I only have to wait to hear from the BON), but Jeff requested I let him know when I hear the results. It is nice to know that he really cares how it all turns out. Don't hesitate he's the guy for you! Jeff is a great lawyer and will work hard with you to get the outcome you deserve.

The perfect Texas Medical Board Lawyer
Jeff McDonald knows the Texas Medical Board from the inside out. He is totally knowledgeable in the workings of the Board, having been an attorney on "their side" early in his career. He defended me most effectively and prepared me before the hearing in such a way that I was ready to effectively defend myself. I am grateful to the man who referred me to Jeff and I recommend him to you without reservation!

Highly recommend
Mr McDonald recently represented me in an investigation with the Texas Board of Nursing. I knew he was the one I wanted to represent me because he explained the process to me in terms I understood. He was available by phone to answer all my questions every step of the way and I found him very easy to talk to. He is knowledgeable and professional. I had a positive resolution to my investigation and am very grateful to him for his time and attention to my case. I know I was not his only case but felt each time I spoke to him as if mine was the most important.

Jeff McDonald is an excellent Lawyer
Jeff is an excellent Lawyer, he was very knowledgeable in our case, and he made us feel so much better about the whole thing. We were being sued, which has never happened to us before, and scared to death. He expalined everything for us to understand, which we didn't understand much and he stayed on top of it. I knew I didn't have to worry becuase he handled everything. I will be recommending Jeff McDonald to everyone.

"As a Board Certified attorney in Administrative Law, Jeff is one of the few attorneys I call for any clients of mine facing discipline from a healthcare licensing agency. Jeff’s reputation with the Texas Medical, Nursing, Dental, and Pharmacy Boards is second to none. His past Medical Board experience allows him to represent not only licensed physicians, but also those persons seeking a TMB license or physician-in-training (“PIT”) permit. Jeff’s expertise in representing physicians and physician assistants facing impairment allegations, is second to none. In addition, Jeff is an expert on navigating the complicated and frustrating path to physician licensure. His dedication in getting his clients a license is admirable. I know of no attorney more qualified to handle a complaint or investigation before the Texas Medical Board, Nursing Board, Dental Board, Pharmacy Board, or any healthcare licensing agency."

"Jeff McDonald is an outstanding person and an equally gifted attorney. The secret to Jeff’s skills as an attorney is that he actually cares about the client. He puts in the time to know the client and their issues in order to achieve the best possible outcome. Jeff is universally respected by the staff of the various licensing boards he appears before. More importantly, the Board members respect and trust him. If Jeff says something is true, he has earned the trust of both Board members and staff that they accept it as gospel truth. Such is a tangible demonstration his principles as man and the ethics that attorneys are supposed to represent. He is equally a good man and a skilled and talented attorney – a rare combination. I trust Jeff completely and I know he will always have the best interest of his client above all else."

He prides himself on being prepared, and he doesn't shy away from hard work. An able litigator, resourceful researcher, and a skilled negotiator. Well connected in the legal community, and a man of his word. Respected on both sides of the docket."
