I focus on probate and estate planning almost exclusively because I am passionate about helping people navigate and avoid unnecessary grief and hardship. I take great pride in drafting specially tailored Wills, Trusts, and other estate planning documents to protect my clients and their loves ones. These situations are difficult enough without the legal process being made more complicated by poor drafting or failure to plan. It is my mission to protect my client's interests (legal, financial and personal) and hold their hands through the legal process. I base my practice on honesty, good communication, and hard work.
I currently take cases in Bexar County, Guadalupe County and Comal County. I also accept cases in Frio County, Atascosa County, Kendall County, Medina County, Wilson County, Goliad County, Kerr County, Nueces County, and other Texas Counties on a case-by-case basis. I have represented clients who live in Florida, Oregon, Washington, New York, Rhode Island, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, and even out of the country (though this always involves a decedent or ward who resided in South Texas). When it comes to hiring an attorney for probate matters, where the decedent lived (not where the client lives) is usually the determining factor.
I am originally from Chicago, Illinois, but have also lived in Ohio, North Carolina, California, and South Dakota. I enjoy spending time with my family, travel and volunteering in the San Antonio community. I decided to make San Antonio my permanent home in 2010 and I do not miss icy roads or below-zero temperatures one bit.
I am on the board of directors for Crime Stoppers of San Antonio and Animal Defense League of Texas. I have always enjoyed hands-on volunteering in my community as well. I plan to expand my efforts to some of the incredible charities benefiting children and their families that serve this part of the state.

A Question Only ~
Amber, I don't want to do a review. Just a question 2 years later. If I want to change the Executor, may I have a friend who lives in a different STATE ? Thanks, Robin

Probate
Ms. Ramsey represented me in probate court to probate my deceased wife's will. She was absolutely great. The entire process was completed effortlessly and without any problems. I am very satisfied with how it was handled.

An excellent attorney!
Ms. Ramsey was my attorney while I was the executor of my mother's will. During this very stressful time, Ms. Ramsey clearly demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and expertise to help me. She was always prompt to return phone calls and emails, and explained the legal process in a way I could understan...

Estate consultation
I consulted Amber Ramsey shortly after my husband's death to see what needed to be done with his estate. She was most helpful, looking over what I had already done, what I was planning to do, and advising me about steps that still needed to be done. The services she provided were taken care of quit...
