A few years ago, a Virginia lawyer convinced us that we needed Pour-Over Wills and Trusts that were extremely difficult to understand and too complicated for our needs. All that we wanted was to each have a Last Will and Testament that was clear, concise, and to the point. I had one of the most difficult situations when my ex-husband passed away. When we divorced he was granted our home and ordered to remove my name of the mortgage, and I was ordered to sign the deed away, in 3 years after our divorce he never did it, however I signed the deed away..
