Attorney Jim Sullivan was a Godsend for our family. My grandson was charged as an adult with aggravated assault of a family member. What happened was an accident and the police blew the incident way out of proportion. The police should never have been involved. The family member did not want my grand...son arrested and charged. I must say Mr Sullivan is a man of his word. I have a pretty long record so when I had got arrested for Aggravated assault on a family member for my 3rd time, I seriously believed that there was NO hope, but I was wrong. My ex girlfriend tried to assault me with a broken wine bottle when i kept telling her i no longer wanted to be with her but when I kept attempting to keep the glass from cutting either one if us, she accidently got hurt in the process. A month later a warrant was issued for my arrest and I got picked up by the police at my home one morning. I'm forever grateful that I found out about the warrant right before I got arrested because I read about Mr. Sullivan on Google and I decided that he was the man that I wanted to handle my case. My punishment ranges from 2-20 years and I knew for sure with my long record and the seriousness of that crime that the d.a wouldn't offer me the minimum. Mr sullivan was very down to earth and really cared about gettin this case dismissed for me so that I could get back in school and continue my life as a productive member of society. Several weeks passed because the prosecutor kept delaying the process, and I started to get a bit discouraged but Mr. Sullivan's confidence and reassurance about my case and all of the evidence he gathered for me helped me so much. Sure enough everything he told me that he would do, he did. He got my case dismissed and I'm back in school just like he said to me. My wife and I hired Jim to represent our 16 year old son after he was arrested for aggravated assault. Mr. Sullivan represented my son twice and both times he did an excellent job. My son has bipolar disorder and ADHD and Mr. Sullivan understood how that affected my son's choices and actions. The first time he represented my son he was a juvenile. What impressed me is he spoke to my son and listened ...to what he had to say. He treated him with respect. The first occasion my son was given some classes and the offense was dropped from his record. I believe the tenacity of Mr. Sullivan and his insistence on a jury trial are what finally persuaded the DA's office to dismiss charges for my son. Not only did this happen for our son, but the 3 other young men being wrongfully accused also were dismissed. So essentially Mr. Sullivan helped them all by listening, understanding and believing my son and then not allowing us to give up proving it to be a false accusation! I would recommend Mr. Sullivan to anyone who is looking for an honest, understanding, and tenacious attorney!

I was one of the 30 individuals who was arrested in Montgomery County in an online solicitation of a minor sex sting. After speaking to many attorneys in this area of practice, I chose Jim Sullivan. He took the time to hear my case out before even being hired. We literally spoke for 30-45 minutes abo...ut the severity of my case, the options and strategies I had in spear heading this case and never was I sold false hope. He was very honest and upright. His prices were reasonable. And most importantly he fought to get me a 7 year deferred adjudication in one of the most conservative counties in Texas. During the punishment hearing, he pointed out that the police used questionable tactics in luring in sex addicts like myself who otherwise might never have gotten in trouble. The police placed an ad in the casual encounters section of Craig's List about an underage girl home alone looking for fun. Craig's List is only for adults. That ad was even later flagged for removal because it broke their rules. As Sullivan pointed out, that would be no different than police placing an ad for free drugs on the social media page of N.A. or for free liquor on the page of A.A. to lure in substance abusers. It is no wonder that 30 guys showed up in such short order. These tactics by police should be against the law. They are ruining the lives of otherwise harmless addicts. I lost my job and reputation over this, but fortunately not my freedom. I highly recommend Jim Sullivan for any criminal defenses especially sex crimes.
