Smooth divorce

Harris did a fine job representing me in my recent divorce. He was to the point with no wasted time or effort. He was patient with me when I had many questions as this was my first encounter of any kind with legal matters. Would recommend.

Honest and Result Driven

We hired Mr. Wood for a divorce case. He was upfront and honest throughout the whole proceeding. He will tell you the truth, whether that is what you want to hear or not. His billing practices are straight forward and more than fair. I highly recommend.

Thanks Mike. My hourly rate is less than many but more than most, and there are reasons for that. Even so, it is not uncommon that the fees paid by my client are less than half of those charged by my opposing lawyer/law firm. I don't fuel fires unnecessarily and I can't tell you how many times I have had my projected outcome tested by a Judge at either a bench conference or trial on the merits only to have my prediction realized, and in an uncannily accurate manner. I guess having done this for close to 3 decades imbues one with a greater measure of this ability than a newer lawyer might enjoy. Caveat: Any seasoned trial lawyer knows that "predicable outcomes" are as common as Unicorns when speaking of "Jury Trials." Ok, I'm exaggerating... a little.

Mr. Wood was very understanding of my problem, he listened carefully and asked questions about the entire ordeal that I experienced. He suggested a path to follow and gave directives to adhere to during the time frame of court appearances. Mr. Wood was very courteous, professional and clear about... every aspect of the offense charged with. He offered scenarios and probable actions of the outcome of the charges by the court. He made no promises nor any guarantees to us, but gave us professional council and support in the court and representation before the judge and court officers . Thank you Mr Wood.

Thank you Randy. The outcome (dismissal in two court appearances) was a perfect instance of a correct application of justice, and would not have been possible absent various factors falling into place. Just because "the State" (I.e., a prosecutor) CAN prosecute a case does not mean that they SHOULD, and in our case the DA certainly appreciated the difference. I was happy to help bring about the prompt and perfect disposition of the matter.

"Harris and I defended a mutual client together against a serious criminal accusation. Harris was appointed to the client after I had obtained a mistrial for the client and was removed without cause. The client wanted to keep me on the case, so I had to appeal my removal all the way to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to get reinstated. After being reinstated, I managed to get a dismissal for the client, but only after Harris's hard work! During Harris's representation of the client, he immediately ordered the trial transcript and diligently acted in the client's defense. Harris also assisted the the client and I in getting me reinstated as his attorney.
