Diana Elizabeth Sims

I used Diana in 2008 for a domestic violence. I’ve been to TDCJ before n they were wanting to send me for 4 years. She got me 4 years probation. Then last year in 2016 I was charged with felony criminal mischief. I had a public defender. The public defender was trying to get me to sign for 6 months s...tate jail for criminal mischief. While I was arguing with my public defender in the holding tank Diana Sims walked through the door to see her client. Which it was not me because I was broke. Diana recognized me and said hey how are you? What did you do? I explained, and she demanded that my sorry public defender gonout get me a reset and for two weeks. She said she will take my case pro bono. So in two weeks she was there and got me probation and then ta month later my time was commuted to time served. So when you say buyers beware you are full of doo doo. This lady Diana is a bull.

I had hired Diana for a previous case and then caught a family violence case due to the pressures of the first one. Well the first was dismissed just in time for my bail and my freedom not to be taken away. However on this case I was stupid and went to a different lawyer. It was not Diana's fault tha...t I did not get in touch with her, I was embarrassed to be calling her saying I was in trouble again, my big mistake. The other lawyer I hired was young, in-experienced, and had no backbone. 3500.00 Dollars for this one but would be more if it went to trial..... Well at the first court date he had the restraining order removed, which was the only good thing he did, at the second court date after speaking with the assistant D.A. he told me to get counseling from our priest or other competent individual and bring the documentation to the next court date. We did this and it helped my marriage, 3 - two and a half hour sessions in two weeks. We brought the documentation to the court and the lawyer presented to the ADA and came back with: Take an Anger Management and Drug / Alcohol Class and bring the certificates of completion to the next setting. I brought these documents to the next date and truly thought it would be dismissed, but no the next step the ADA wanted was the B. I. P. P. CLASSES TO BE TAKEN. I am sorry but the BIPP stands for BATTERERS INTERVENTION PREVENTION PROGRAM..... I AM NOT A BATTERER AND WOULD RESENT MY WIFE BY TAKING THESE CLASSES. These classes are over 20 weeks long, one hour a week, and I will not do something like this if I am not guilty. I told my attorney, NO F------ WAY, LET'S GO TO TRIAL.... He balked at this and acted like I had taken his birthday away. This is when I swallowed my pride and got in touch with Diana. We discussed the case and she quoted a fee for not going to trial, and another fee if we had to go to trial. Which was fine with me because she agreed to my conclusions especially after listening to the 911 call and looking at the pictures. There was no proof of violence because there was none, just a vindictive spouse who was looking to screw me over..... I ended up having to pay the fee for going to trial because the DA WAS NOT WILLING TO DISMISS THE CASE.... THEY NEVER ONCE TOOK MY STATEMENT OR QUESTIONED ME WHEN OR AFTER ALL THIS HAPPENED. They just took the spouse's statement and ran with it like I was the guiltiest man in the world when I only defended myself.... Diana knew that I was telling the truth and we set the case for trial. The trial was reset three times, at no fault of Diana's, and finally the date of Nov 4th was coming upon us. Well on Sunday, the 1st of Nov, we had texted one another and she told me she would be talking to the DA on Monday. She did talk to the DA and ADA on Monday, for over an hour, explaining how I was truly the battered Husband, and my wife was manipulating the system, how she looked forward to getting my wife on the stand and bringing her to her knees for all that she has said and done. Diana knew everything because I had told her, and all would not believe everything if I wrote it, but lets just say love makes us do some stupid things.... After convincing the DA that she would embarrass them in front of the court and that we would win hands down, THEY FINALLY DISMISSED THE CASES..... DIANA DID ALL SHE COULD PREVIOUS TO THIS, BUT IT TOOK THE THREAT OF GOING TO TRIAL WITH A SHAM OF A CASE TO MAKE THE DA BACK OFF... I am truly indebted to Diana for making these nightmares go away and she is still advising me to get the hell away from the lady, and move out now... Which is truly sound advise.... So if you need a lawyer with backbone, with the knowledge, and with the legal advise to truly help you, then hire Diana Elizabeth Sims, you will not regret it....
