Maverick was born and raised in the Houston area and received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Texas A&M University. While studying at Texas A&M, Maverick began to realize a passion for the law and followed this passion to South Texas College of Law in Downtown Houston.

While at South Texas, Maverick excelled academically graduating number six in his class and finishing a semester early. He also found his life calling while studying criminal trial tactics with the esteemed Judge Lawrence Gist. Under Judge Gist’s guidance, Maverick gained a feel for the courtroom and began to learn the art of successful persuasion.

Maverick then took his talents and applied them at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where he spent over a year gaining insight into the criminal process. While at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Maverick tried numerous case to a jury as well as a judge, argued motions to suppress, dispositive hearings, and motion for new trials. One reoccurring theme during all of his trial experience was winning. Maverick never lost a case despite going up against the top defense attorneys in Texas.

Always looking for the next challenge, Maverick has decided to take on a new challenge and join the fight from the other side of the ring. Awesome Attorney!!!!

I hired him to defend my mother and he was fantastic! I recomend him to everyone I know. He was very professional and beat the case with no problem! If I ever need an attorney again i know exactly who to contact.

Landlord Tennant Dispute

Maverick responded very quickly and was able to draft documents needed for a corporate landlord tenant dispute. Hopefully he will not be needed but I would hire him again if the need arrises.

Dopest Lawyer

Maverick ray is the most humblest dude I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable in the court room and we’ll known that will play out in your favor. Even with all the evidence pointing toward me in my case he was able to get it dismissed through hard work and persuasion he is honestly the beat and this is coming from a person who had the worst in mind he gave me my life back. Humble but Aggressive Attorney

I was harassed by an overzealous police officer and was arrested for a ridiculous charge while on parole. Maverick went the extra mile and got me an outright dismissal. He’s a young lawyer that’s still and up and coming, the sky’s the limit for him. He personally responds to any questions or issues you may have concerning your case. On top of being a great attorney, he’s a down to earth cool person. I would definitely recommend his services.

Had an Ass on Family member charge.

Best defense!

Hired him for my second MAJ in felony court, and a misdemeanor case as well. I was hoping for the best but was very nervous being as it was my second one and I had a new case. He was confident the whole time. He got my MAJ and misdemeanor case dismissed. I would definately recommend him!!!

GOT MY SON ANOTHER BOND

I hired Maverick to represent my son who was out on an agg robbery charge when he picked up another case for criminal trespassing. Wait did I mention he was on a 2 years deferred when he picked up both theses cases. Maverick got him bonds people said would be impossible to get given the situation. This man is the real deal and to only be 2 years into his career I can only imagine what the future holds for him. I would refer Maverick to any one he's the best Texas has to offer if you ask me and reasonable and affordable he doesn't BS around.

Possession Controlled Substance Not Guilty!

I hired Mr. Maverick to represent my brother back around June or July. My brother had a court appointed attorney that hadn't been working for him for a couple months. Mr. Maverick got him a bond on the first court setting and then when the state would only come at him with 14 years because they were usin his priors my brother and Mr Maverick took it to trial. The state came down some more years but my brother knew Mr Maverick could beat it. They eneded up in trial and even though the wrecker driver saw my brother hit the other car head on and the laws said they seen cocaine and marijuana in my brothers pockets and found some crack and scales and more baggies in his car Mr maverick worked his magic and got my brother off. If i ever have any trouble again I know who i am gonna call Mr Maverick.

Dismissed My Drug Charge

A few months back, the police entered my apartment with a search warrant and arrested me and some of my friends. They confiscated all of our weapons, and large amounts of marijuana and pills. A few weeks later, I hired Mr. Maverick and he was the BEST! He was always at court on time, he always sat and explained everything to me and always made me feel at ease after court. We ended up setting my case for trial because Mr. Maverick said time served and a fine wasn't good enough. A week before trial I got the best call, it was Mr. Maverick telling me that my case was dismissed! I always try and recommend everyone I know to hire Mr. Maverick and will use him in any future cases.

DWI OFFENSE IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY DISMISSED!

I got charged with a DWI coming home from a bar near the Woodlands. I had been drinking, but did not believe I was unfit to drive. I was pulled over and immediately asked to perform different tests on the side of the highway. I felt that I was doing my best, but the tests were pretty difficult. The office wanted me to do a breath test there too but I didn't want to. I ended up getting arrested for DWI and resisting arrest and they took my blood. The whole time the prosecutors kept wanting me to either go to jail or do a probation. Maverick not only made me feel completely at ease everytime I went to court, but he was took the time to sit down with me and go over the police report, blood results, DWI video, and the video of them taking my blood. I would always wake up extremely anxious for court, but by the time I walked out I realized Maverick would take care of me. He always returned my calls timely and showed up to court on time. We eventually went to trial and the case was dismissed after the trial started. I highly recommend this lawyer to anyone who is charged with a DWI.

Very Persistent

I found Mr. Ray by chance and I was blessed to cross paths. From day one he was very informative and responsive to my questions and concerns. He was able answer all my questions no matter how big or small and at all times of the day. Not only did he respond by phone but also by text and or email. He was very persistent in getting charges against my brother dropped by being persistent and believing in an innocence man . When I tell my accounts of Mr. Ray’s actions people or amazed, that there are good attorneys such as Mr. Ray. He is very professional at all times and I felt that he loved his job and wanted to truly help my brother and not just take money. The best attorney ever

I hired Maverick a month ago I was very depressed & didn't know what to do I had violated my probation by catching a new case after my meeting with Maverick I felt so relieved although he didn't make any promises he assured me that he would do everything in his power to get me the best outcome. Normally you don't get a bond for violating felony probation he got me one after being in jail for only 1 week. He was very knowledgeable every question I asked he had an answer.. Every time I called him he answered the phone no matter how many times I called & he was always pleasant & reluctant to answer my questions over the years I have worked with plenty lawyers & none got me the results that Maverick has.. Although my case haven't been disposed yet I know for a fact that he will get me the outcome I'm looking for. I will definitely use him every time I get in trouble and refer him to friends family or anyone else.. If you're seeking an attorney that's dedicated & that will work hard on your case as if you we're his own family he's your guy

I HIRED THIS ATTORNEY ON 10/14/2013 BECAUSE HE PROMISED ME TO CLEAR MY 3 CASES ON COURT, AFTER I ALREADY PAID $5000.00 AND AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO HIS OFFICE AND CELL PHONE I NEVER RECEIVE ANY ANSWER THEY JUST KEEP IGNORING ME, ONE DAY EVENTUALLY THIS SECRETARY PICKED UP THE PHONE , I ASKED HER ABOUT MY CASES , SHE PROMISED ME THAT SHE GOING TO CALL ME BACK WITH AN ANSWER BUT SHE NEVER DID, SO I DECIDED TO TERMINATE THEIR SERVICES AND GET MY MONEY BACK BUT I JUST WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS PEOPLE.
