Mr. Podolsky represented me after the police raided my parent’s house and found illegal pictures and videos on my phone and computer. I was in serious trouble and my life was as good as over. I was looking at up to 20 years prison and even if I got probation I would have a register as a sex offender... for the rest of my life. Mr. P fought for me for over two years. The DAs kept changing but they wouldn’t budge. Mr. P refused to believe that lifetime registration was fair and that it’s essentially a life sentence. He said to me that No one should get a life sentence for looking at stuff on the internet in high school. I was confused and stupid. And never considered the consequences. He had a plan for me. Put together a whole box of info for the DA, had me go to special doctors and went up the chain of command until he found someone who would listen. Finally I have my future back. No criminal record, no registration. Mr. P saved my life.

Brett provided counsel for an extremely complicated Federal healthcare fraud case I was ensnared in. I relied on Brett for strategic interactions with government agencies throughout the investigation while at the same time keeping my nerves calm and paranoia (it's real folks!) in check. I would like to post a this review to explain my experience having attorney Brett Podolsky defend me against a false accusation made by an ex-girlfriend. This resulted in felony charges for supposedly attacking and choking my GF at the time. According to the police she was beaten and choked unt...il she thought she was going to die. They had statements and photos. I was innocent of these charges and at the time I was arrested, I was a cadet at the DPS Police Academy. I was arrested in Austin, Texas where I stayed in jail for weeks before I was extradited back to Houston where the case was filed. I worked very hard to get accepted to the DPS Academy and was devastated and humiliated when I was arrested in front of other cadets. My family and I met with several lawyers and decided on Mr. Podolsky as he seemed to be best able to fight the case for me. It was the best choice we ever made. It took almost a year with the DA trying to send me to prison and then probation and then they offered to reduce the case to a misdemeanor. Every time they came at us with an unacceptable offer, Brett had the evidence and documents and arguments to shoot it down. He believed in my innocence and never once did he try to pressure me to "plea out" or take a deal. I watched in court as things sometime got heated with the DAs but he never budged. Finally the DA agreed to dismiss the case. I was in court with family and we almost broke down in the middle of the courtroom. Brett, I want to thank you for your help and guidance helping me in a terrible situation. My perception about defense attorneys has been changed forever I now understand why there are great attorneys like you and your associates. I was raised to always be truthful and take ownership for any mistake...s you make in life. It is sad that this experience has changed my perception about the police, while I was taking ownership for my mistake I never thought the police would be so incompetent and could charge you for things that so obviously I had nothing to do with.
