All cases were reduced or closed, and all are eligible for expungement. That is the best outcome, in the end. Each person’s situation is a different story, so you might still be in an uncomfortable position for a long time; but if, one day, you can get it all expunged… well, thats the goal they achie...ved. Brett and Max still made positive progress on my tough cases where there was no opportunity to outright have it dismissed on technicality. You need a lawyer that knows the ‘way things work’ in the local judicial system, both on the street and in the courtroom. How city and state laws vary. Even practice varying from written law. One that knows ‘the house rules’, so to speak. One that knows the most common mistakes that local officers make. One that knows the local prosecutors and judges, knows how they think, and can either build a case to defend you, or, form an exit plan before it even gets to outright defense. Brett’s office is a stones throw from the courthouse, so he’s truly positioned to be at the center of the action, day in, day out. I cannot thank these two enough… freedom truly is the most precious thing to behold, and every single day i think about my freedoms and i appreciate the efforts they made to allow me to retain control of my freedoms. Oh also, the office staff is always very responsive and unbelievably helpful, even when Brett & Max were in court and busy (which is basically ‘all the time’ so big thanks to V. Haha)

I was arrested and charged for prostitution non payment fee back in January with all evidence ( video and recording). I was facing a sentence that could include in incarceration up yo 2 years in prison. As a student majoring engineering he fights every day for me with all his professional and talente...d crew. Finally my cas was dismissed today 9/28th/2018. He's patient and very smart. I believe that he was born for this. He knows what he is doing. Now I have a 9 months probation and he will help me later to expunge it. No jail time. I am so happy because I will finish my engineering school and hopefully get a better job because of him. Brett is the absolute best of the best. I was pulled over for a traffic violation and ended up getting charged with drug possession. I felt like my life was over; my world had collapsed on me. I saw the four years of preparatory high school and 2 years into college at a top university all being flush...ed down the drain. If it wasn’t for Brett that would actually be the case. The short story is he got the charges dismissed and my record expunged, and I’m back on the career track I had envisioned. The long story is the countless hours Brett put into my case. He was able to get it dismissed by painstakingly combing through the traffic stop evidence, getting police records and finding a problem with the stop and search of my car. Beyond that, he spent hours compiling a background profile for me to show the DA I was more than some kid with drugs. To say he completely saved my life would be an understatement. I live in California, but I was accused of a class B misdemeanor while traveling in Houston. There was solid video evidence against me. Brett fought exceptionally hard for me, and rather than conviction I got six months probation. After my probation the case will be dismissed, and I can get it e...xpunged. This was a great outcome! Typically out of state people are not offered probation. It will be a lot of work on my part, but in the end I'll walk away with a clean record.
