At the beginning of January our family faced some of the hardest news we have had to face. Our beloved son, brother, and cousin has been chaged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, interference with 911 call, criminal mischief, and had an immigration hold. The news was heartbreaking. We met... with many lawyers from Collin County and couldn't find the right fit. Then we met with Sandy (paralegal) and Carl Ceder. The patience and hard work they demonstrated was second to none. Had our rough patche's but couldn't of asked for a better team. After it was all said and done our family member walked away with only a misdemeanor assault. Carl and his team are amazing. He will tell you himself don't choose him because he tells you. Choose him because YOU feel most comfortable with him.

I was arrested for a DWI in early 2017. I called several attorneys before deciding to hire Carl. I was impressed by Carl's knowledge and ability to clearly and concisely explain things. Sandy, Carl's paralegal, was also very helpful and knowledgeable. Carl has a tremendous knowledge of DWI statute...s, as well as the law around traffic stops, sobriety testing, and blood alcohol/breathalyzer science. All of these facets are critical in a DWI case. Carl and Sandy guided me through the process, including the ALR hearing, obtaining an occupational drivers license and court appearances. Carl was able to negotiate a plea deal with the DA with which I was very happy. It feels great to have this issue almost completely behind me.

I write this review without reservation for Carl and his wonderful staff...I would have to say with complete honesty if you are looking for an amazing criminal lawyer, who is personable, honest, and easy to talk to and with...and who will also be with you every step of the way, and not give up on you......Carl and his team are the "go-to" to use. Simply put, "just call Carl!!!" He is your guy! Seriously though...he represented my fiance for a DWI case and he went above and beyond for us, and would e-mail us and give us updates where we could tell he was tirelessly working for us. He got the case where it was a GREAT result given the facts, and was so helpful and understanding through everything. One time at his office, he just gave me sort of..."life", advice and what his thoughts and views on people and how they get to where they are in life when they obviously need his services. We both felt like we were talking to a friend, and not a lawyer. We have used other lawyers in the past, and all we have used have been gruff, rude, and usually mean and have very little personality. We would recommend Carl and his staff 100% to anyone who find themselves in a situation where they need help and wise counsel, and someone who will treat you as much more like a friend than a client. I had the pleasure of hiring Carl for 2 separate arrests: DWI and later possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance. . At first, I met with a local lawyer in Denton for consultation. The guy embodied nearly everything bad that people say about lawyers. Dismayed, I sought a referral from a relativ...e and discovered Carl. Carl was warm, confident, and intelligent. He really does care about the people he represents. He is a far cry from the stereotypical defense attorneys in their flamboyant suits and entitled demeanor. Carl is humble and honest. Fortunately, when you hire Carl, you also receive guidance from his overqualified paralegal, Sandy. Both will help you through your legal uncertainty, and I do mean actually help. My DWI didn't look pretty. They had solid video evidence of intoxication and an admission of drinking. They had a witness who called the police, suspecting a drunk driver. The only thing they didn't have was a blood or breath test. It was going to be a tough trial and a case truly in the hands of the typically harsh jury in Denton County. We reached a plea deal for Obstruction, which was a God-send to avoid what would have been a very unpredictable trial. I believe Denton County gave me a particularly sweet plea deal because they knew Carl was going to be as prepared and determined as he showcased in the pre-trial proceedings. For example, as the court was dealing with another case, the judge rhetorically asked the courtroom if anyone knew the name of a particular judge in a specific Collin County courtroom. Carl instantly reminded the judge of the name in question. Of course, the judge was only asking aloud to spur his own memory, not expecting anyone in attendence to actually know the answer. The stage was set. The possession charge happened because when I was later pulled over, I became nervous due to all the consequences of the above case (unresolved then). Noticing this, the cop thought I must be doing something wrong and I stupidly let him search my car to prove that I wasn't. He finds a single blue pill that inspires more Scooby Doo conclusions in the mean streets of West Plano. Turns out, the blue pill is Vyvanse that was subscribed to a friend years ago. Another classic case of "don't ever consent to a search." Luckily, I had Carl on my side and justice prevailed once again.

This is a review for my lawyer Carl Cedar. I found Carl Cedars information and reviews on avvo.com. I then called Carl Cedar and spoke to Sandy my mother and I met with Sandy and began discussing my situation. Since I was able to work out a payment plan I then proceeded to move forward with Carl Ceda...r as my legal representation. I went to court a total of 6 times. The da wanted to convict me for a fictitious registration sticker that I was not aware of. Carl did not agree with that and became the defender. He went to battle for me and defended me. He could see how unjust the da was being. Carl Cedar is really the defender he will get your back and help you out 100% all he expects you to do is follow his instruction and guidance. If you follow his instruction and guidance it will benefit you and your case. This helps Carl to go in the courtroom to defend you. If you follow his instruction and guidance your case will be a success. All Carl Cedar wanted me to do was email him all of my accomplishments that I have completed such as certifications and degrees so he could present them to the DA and show them that I am goal oriented and have accomplished positive goals in my life. Carl had to work his magic he takes every case too heart and works diligently to earn the title of the defender. To Carl law is like a sport. He will not be satisfied until he gets his client Justice. He was able to finagle a sweet deal for me where I can get my record expunged. My charges went from a Class B misdemeanor for fictitious registration to a Class C misdemeanor for disorderly conduct which means I got deferred probation for three months with the only conditions consisting of not getting any tickets for 3 months and no check in unsupervised and no community service probation. And since the charges got dropped to a Class C misdemeanor I can now have the case expunged which means my record stays clean and clear. I can now move forward with my life to continue other goals that I will accomplish in the medical field. Thank God for Carl. This guy is the real deal if you have a situation similar to mine this is your guy he will help you. I will from here on out recommend my family and friends to carl Cedar in case they need him if they ever get into a bind. Five stars for Carl Cedar there is no need to look elsewhere this guy knows his law and they call him the defender for a reason. He seems to be known at the Collin County Courthouse every time I would go to check in with the bailiff for my court appearances the bailiff would even say are you Carl's client with excitement in his voice and I would hear a lot of other people in the courtroom saying that is Carl's client and pointing to me. When Carl would enter the courtroom All Eyes would go towards Carl and everyone would always greet him and seem to have respect for him. This guy is awesome very respectful and believes in being fair to people and fighting for what he believes is fair to his clients. I also have to say that Sandy has been wonderful she always gives my family and I good advice as well she makes sure that I and well-informed and advises me throughout the whole process they work hand-in-hand very well together. Sandy is strictly business which is what you want when you are in a bind. Sandy will shoot you straight and not sugarcoat anything. This is what you want when you are in a bind. Sandy is very nice and very honest and real. She seems to know a lot about law that she shares with my family and she knows a lot from experience and from her education. I definitely have to give kudos to Sandy. Thank you Carl and Sandy for not just seeing me as throw away. Thank you for defending me.
