Mark is a veteran of over 50 jury trials. He has trials in all courts from misdemeanors to Federal jury trials and knows what it takes to be effective.
Mark graduated from South Texas Collegeof Law where he excelled in the nation’s # 1 Trial Advocacy law school. He wasselected to serve as a Trial Advocate in just his first year of lawschool. During his time as amember of South Texas mock trial program Mark competed and excelled in numerouscompetitions throughout the nation.
Mark continued to hone his trial skills by joining the Dallas County District Attorney'sofficeas an Assistant District Attorney on his graduation from law school. There, asa prosecutor Mark Lassiter handled countless cases including DWI, Assault, andDrug Offenses. During his tenure at the District Attorney's Office Markdeveloped a reputation as an excellent trial attorney gaining respect from hispeers at the DA's office and defense attorneys alike.
Before Mark went to law school he attended Texas A&M University graduating with highhonors and a degree in Business Management.
Mark has also served in the Armed Forces for 10 years. He began his career inthe Army at 18 years old as an Airborne Infantryman. There he served as part ofthe 143rd Long Range Surveillance Team (LRS). This team was designed toparachute in behind enemy lines and radio crucial intelligence back to thefront lines, all without being detected. This required countless hours oftraining and attention to detail because any small mistake could leaddisastrous results for the entire team. It was here that Mark learned what itmeans to work under timetables in a stress filled environment. He learned whatit takes to get things done and he will put that knowledge to work for you.
Mark continued his career in the Army by becoming an M1AbramsA2 tank the course of his training on this battle tank Mark received an awardfor the honor graduate of his class. While serving as a tank gunner Lassiter was selected to attend OfficerCandidate School. This school transformed enlisted soldiers into again received honors for his excellent performance throughout hisattendance at Officer Candidate School. From there Mark was selected to serveas a member of the JAG Corp due to his legal expertise. After 10 years offaithful service Mark retired from active service.
Mark believes ingiving back to the community and the schools that taught him the trial skillsnecessary to be successful. He hasshown this by becoming a coach for the Mock Trial teams at Southern MethodistUniversity. There, Mark volunteershis time to teach young law students how to become effective trial attorneys.
