We initiall...y applied for AOS with another attorney and we received a NOID due to a very difficult issue. We knew that a response to this would take an experienced, competent group of attorneys. Initially we worked with Anne Relias who, after hearing and studying our case, she was very knowledgeable about what we needed to help prove our case. Her brief was well composed and we all thought was strong enough to overcome this NOID, but subsequently was also denied. At that moment there was so much going on in our lives but Scott Pollack, Anne Relias and their team had so much faith in our case that they continued to work as determined as ever. They proceeded with the lawsuit and throughout the whole time they were very clear, confident and kept us frequently updated. I had my first consultation with Mr. Pollock a couple of years ago after meeting with other immigration lawyers both in Illinois and in California (where I currently live). Mr. Pollock was the first lawyer who was honest about the intricacies and inherent difficulties of my case. In his explanations ...he demonstrated a keen understanding of immigration law and a realistic perspective of the ramifications that my case could potentially have. An anecdote will demonstrate what I am referring to. Prior to my interview with USCIS I asked Mr. Pollock why he decided to practice immigration instead of a type of law where there is more money. He explained to me that he decided to do this kind of law after seeing all the human rights violations in countries like Guatemala as well as the human toll that immigrant communities have experienced because of the broken immigration system. Mr. Pollock's answer confirmed to me that I not only hired a good lawyer but one who had a humane perspective of the plight of the immigrants who try to make it through this maze that is our current immigration system. Overall I felt very happy to have Mr. Pollock as counsel and I definitely recommend him.

I am very very grateful to Scott, Linda and to his Law Firm for all the time and assistance they gave me during this process of immigration and naturalization.
