Michael J. Chiero

I have worked with Michael Chiero on two cases and he is an exceptional attorney. Although my cases were not cut and dry, Michael fought extremely hard for me. We were successful in both cases due to his diligence, steadfastness, in-depth knowledge of the law, and attention to detail. I could not ask... for a better attorney who truly fought hard for me legally and always had my back. Michael is also a man of his word and cares about his clients a great deal. He always made sure I understood everything that was happening 100%, answered all of my questions and made my options clear to me. I had been through a few lawyers before I came to Mr. Chiero, and had always had issues with lawyers over-charging me or not taking my issues seriously. Mr. Chiero seemed to quickly understand my issues with support and maintenance, and assured me that he could easily handle the case. He just kind of... has a way with words, to where I was very quickly aware of details of my situation that other lawyers had left out or decided that I didn't need to know. When he was in court, he always paid attention to the littlest detail and was completely fearless in his defense of my case. I would refer any of my friends or family to him. I have had small issues over the years after my case was finished and he is always easy to contact, helpful, intelligent and fast to get what I need done. He was also very fair with me, and I feel that I actually took his counsel to be well worth the money. Especially since I never felt like I was being over-charged for anything. I highly recommend this man to anyone!

Mr. Chiero represented me a few years ago when he was employed with La Sale Street law firm Rinella & Rinella. My experience with him was very dissapointing. On various occasions he failed to advise me of important matters that were conveyed to him by my ex-wife's attorney which resulted in unecessar...y complications and costs for me. When I realized there was a pattern of such behavior with him, I attempted to address this matter in his office. He responded angrily and used profanity in what seemed an attempt to intimidate me. I was stunned and very upset that my attorney, who I was paying to meet with at the time, would have the nerve to behave so unprofessionally towards me. Shortly after this experience, I requested a meeting with one of the firm's principles. After I discussed my concerns, he asked Chiero to join the meeting and apologize to me. Mr. Chiero did apologize, but I insisted that I no longer felt comfortable with him as my attorney and requested the firm's senior partner take over my case. He refused to do so which caused a serious and costly dilemma for me. I proceeded to terminate this relationship despite the difficulty and costs of retaining a new attornery/firm in the middle of my divorce. Unfortunately, my nightmare didn't end there. Over the past few years, this law firm alleged I owed them money and unsuccessfully filed multiple law suits against me. Suffice to say any trust and respect I may have had for Chiero and Rinella & Rinella was completely destroyed.

He has awesome knowledge and speaks very well when it comes to all things technically related to the legal system. I was always impressed as he would easily speak out to the judge, very professionally of course, without skipping a beat. However, when I submitted all the information/paperwork required..., and then followed-up time and time again to see if I was missing anything or to understand the status of the case, I got nothing until the night before OR on the same day standing in the courthouse in some case. Then to hear vulgarity, that I would not expect come out when he clearly was frustrated, made me reconsider how to approach and interact with him. One thing would be said, yet another thing would be done. It was a struggle to get through my case while working with him.

Mr. Chiero provided me with more useful information in thirty minutes than my prior counsel provided to me in eighteen months. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fair with his fees. Mr. Chiero's advanced skill in the courtroom resulted in an unexpected award of sole custody of my chi...ld to me. In addition to protecting me and my daughter in the courtroom, Mr. Chiero also gave me comfort and peace of mind with his calm demeanor and soothing voice. My daughter still refers to Mr. Chiero as her hero.
