Michael J. Chiero

Michael is a great attorney. He did my divorce, which was very difficult due to the ex-husband's wealthy family fighting against me. He took them on with grace and knowledge. Since my ex-husband comes from a wealthy family, he went after me for maintenance support because he ran his company into the ...ground. I didn't want a dime from his wealthy family, but he wanted everything, including to kick me out of my very own house that I worked my entire life to buy. He even paid off a corrupt appraiser and a realtor agent who appraised my home at $100K over the market value. This divorce has nearly cost me my health, but Michael not only stood by me the entire 18 months of my divorce but was very understanding and answered all my panicky calls every time. At the end of the day, he got me what I wanted, and I have since recommended him to my friends, who were also happy with his services. I cannot recommend Michael enough, especially if you are a woman fighting your ex-husband for divorce or child custody. He will do everything the legal system allows him to get you the best outcome. I should have left him this feedback seven years ago. After seeing some of these reviews, I can tell you that they do not describe Michael, his knowledge, and his ability to represent you. You cannot find a more knowledgeable attorney in the area.

Michael was my divorce lawyer for two long years. During that time he had monthly pointless status updates in court, countless continuances and court appearances and no work was actually done. I paid him monthly and no progress happened on my long and painful divorce. I eventually had to switch lawye...rs after I found out that during the two years all I had was status updates and attempts to locate information & continue my case. My new lawyer had the case closed within two months.

When geography made it impractical for me to stay with my original divorce attorney, my attorney recommended Michael to me as the best she knew. She was right. Michael was thorough and professional, patient, understanding and a good listener. Just as important, he then took my situation to heart and ...planned a strategy that protected my interests and those of my child while still being fair to my spouse, defended me against unseemly behavior by my spouse and spouse's attorney, then came through again two years after the divorce was final when further misbehavior by my ex required a return to court to defend my custody rights. For knowledge, ethics, bedside manner, fair and unpadded fees (although not low – you get what you pay for), and optimum results, I highly recommend him.

Michael is by far one of the most experienced and remarkable divorce attorneys I have ever encountered. He has served as an excellent mentor to me regarding family law practice. I had the privilege of clerking for him back in law school and witnessed his exceptional litigation skills in the courtro...om. He truly cares about his clients. I can attest to this because I, too, have been a client of his going through my own divorce. Michael put me at ease throughout this difficult process. Few attorneys have the acquired skill to meet both the client's expectations and also reach a fair and effective resolution. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for an exceptional divorce attorney.

Mr. Chiero represented me a few years ago when he was employed with La Sale Street law firm Rinella & Rinella. My experience with him was very dissapointing. On various occasions he failed to advise me of important matters that were conveyed to him by my ex-wife's attorney which resulted in unecessar...y complications and costs for me. When I realized there was a pattern of such behavior with him, I attempted to address this matter in his office. He responded angrily and used profanity in what seemed an attempt to intimidate me. I was stunned and very upset that my attorney, who I was paying to meet with at the time, would have the nerve to behave so unprofessionally towards me. Shortly after this experience, I requested a meeting with one of the firm's principles. After I discussed my concerns, he asked Chiero to join the meeting and apologize to me. Mr. Chiero did apologize, but I insisted that I no longer felt comfortable with him as my attorney and requested the firm's senior partner take over my case. He refused to do so which caused a serious and costly dilemma for me. I proceeded to terminate this relationship despite the difficulty and costs of retaining a new attornery/firm in the middle of my divorce. Unfortunately, my nightmare didn't end there. Over the past few years, this law firm alleged I owed them money and unsuccessfully filed multiple law suits against me. Suffice to say any trust and respect I may have had for Chiero and Rinella & Rinella was completely destroyed.
