Eric has been at Cortina, Mueller & Frobish, P.C. since 2001, and has been a partner since 2009. During his time with this office, he has handled, and continues to handle, all the firm's family law work, as this is his main area of focus. In addition to family law cases, he has also handled a variety of others over the years, such probate/wills/powers of attorney, guardianships, real estate, criminal/traffic, and more.

 

Eric is also a Certified Guardian Ad Litem in the State of Illinois, and is frequently appointed by the courts to investigate, report and testify on cases such as child custody and visitation disputes, guardianships, removal cases, and other matters involving minor children and disabled adults. In addition to this, he is also a Family Law Mediator and certified in the Twelfth and Thirteenth Judicial Circuits, which cover Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Bureau counties in Illinois.

 

When not busy with his law practice, Eric enjoys camping, hunting and fishing, as well as just about anything outdoors.  He spends time working in his yard and gardens at his home and also does most of his own home renovations, repairs and remodeling, when not attending his children's sports events and other activities.  Eric is also a 17-year member of both the Dwight, IL Lions Club as well as the Morris, IL Knights of Columbus.

I could not be more pleased with Eric Frobish!! I had been going through a very drawn out divorce for a while before I decided it was time for a lawyer. Eric came in, accessed the situation, and laid the groundwork to get my divorce over. Very professional yet hard nosed enough to not get pushed around.

I used Eric as my attorney when I was getting divorced and then again during a custody battle recently. He was very knowledgeable and fought for what I wanted. It didn’t matter what time of day it was he would either call or email me to resolve things in my case quickly. I would definitely recommend him!

Great experience completing our Will

Very knowledgeable and thorough
I hired Mr. Frobish to help me iron out a custody issue and later returned to him when an order of protection was being contested. He always walked me through all the information I needed to make informed choices and never minced words when it came to what I was facing. I never doubted that he had my daughter's best interests in mind with any of his advice, and I appreciated his honesty in all matters. I would absolutely go back to him if I need legal representation again.

Fair and to the point.
Was an interesting process during covid. Would never expect to get through a divorce without physically meeting your attorney. Eric was very open and honest from day one. He stated how things would go and he was spot on. He was quick to talk to me about and come up with a plan to get offers back to my ex’s attorney in a very timely manner. All in all I feel he did a fantastic job in getting me through what could have been a very troubling process.

highly recomended
I have unfortunately had to hire attorneys for several different reasons in the past, Eric frobish is by far the the best I've ever dealt with. I was never made to feel that I was an inconvenience to him nor was I rushed off the phone. He always got back to me quickly by email or phone and even contacted me on new years eve when he he knew I was anxious to speak to him. I hired him for a divorce and some small items became a possession issue. Never did he act as if they were petty or not important, even when I was ready to just give them up! He fought for me and what I wanted and was 100% sucessfull ! Very pleasant man to deal with. Thank you so very much!

Excellent Representation

Very professional, easy to understand
Eric is very knowledgeable . He was helpful and straight forward with answers to all my questions? And I had a ton of questions. Eric helped me though a very difficult process. And he did an excellent job. He explained everything in a way that I was able to understand. His office staff is extremely professional .

Unfortunately, I can't address your concerns without knowing who posted this review, However, I would invite you to contact me directly by phone or video conference, at which point I would be happy to discuss this with you. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, our firm has been forced to diverge from our preferred practice of consulting with prospective clients in person. Family law cases are often difficult, emotional and stressful in the best of circumstances. As a result, consultations in such cases are ALWAYS better conducted in person. Too much can be lost or misinterpreted during a phone call because of the inability to fully perceive tone, inflection, body language and visual cues in context. As everyone is doing, we are adapting to new realities of our profession caused by the virus situation and have recently established a new and better method and ability to conduct more personable video consultations. I'd be happy to follow up with you in that fashion if you'd like.
