Michael J. Chiero

Michael is a great attorney. He did my divorce, which was very difficult due to the ex-husband's wealthy family fighting against me. He took them on with grace and knowledge. Since my ex-husband comes from a wealthy family, he went after me for maintenance support because he ran his company into the ...ground. I didn't want a dime from his wealthy family, but he wanted everything, including to kick me out of my very own house that I worked my entire life to buy. He even paid off a corrupt appraiser and a realtor agent who appraised my home at $100K over the market value. This divorce has nearly cost me my health, but Michael not only stood by me the entire 18 months of my divorce but was very understanding and answered all my panicky calls every time. At the end of the day, he got me what I wanted, and I have since recommended him to my friends, who were also happy with his services. I cannot recommend Michael enough, especially if you are a woman fighting your ex-husband for divorce or child custody. He will do everything the legal system allows him to get you the best outcome. I should have left him this feedback seven years ago. After seeing some of these reviews, I can tell you that they do not describe Michael, his knowledge, and his ability to represent you. You cannot find a more knowledgeable attorney in the area.

Absolutely AWFUL "attorney". This guy acts cocky as if what he says is the word of Christ himself, but he does NOTHING. Him or his secretary won't return calls. Ask him a question via text, he'll charge you $50 a pop, but won't answer the question. Couldn't get a single reply from him or his secr...etary if my life depended on it. Lets the other side COMPLETELY walk all over you. In five years of fighting PRO SE, I've successfully substantiated regular visitation, built a healthy relationship with my son, and created a parenting agreement signed by both parties. In the two months I've had this attorney, he... Got my visitation suspended on his FIRST court date. Charged me several hundred dollars for text message questions sent to him from me with ZERO reply. Charged me $50 to send me a PDF of my own order that I had in my hand that he said he needed. Charged me $700 to have a conversation about our "strategy", saying he was going to file a motion to have my visitation reinstated and expanded. Charged me almost $2,000 to attend two court dates to stand at the petitioner's box and say NOTHING. He did not file a SINGLE motion. He did not ask the courts for ANYTHING.

I had been through a few lawyers before I came to Mr. Chiero, and had always had issues with lawyers over-charging me or not taking my issues seriously. Mr. Chiero seemed to quickly understand my issues with support and maintenance, and assured me that he could easily handle the case. He just kind of... has a way with words, to where I was very quickly aware of details of my situation that other lawyers had left out or decided that I didn't need to know. When he was in court, he always paid attention to the littlest detail and was completely fearless in his defense of my case. I would refer any of my friends or family to him. I have had small issues over the years after my case was finished and he is always easy to contact, helpful, intelligent and fast to get what I need done. He was also very fair with me, and I feel that I actually took his counsel to be well worth the money. Especially since I never felt like I was being over-charged for anything. I highly recommend this man to anyone!

Mr. Chiero was my lawyer several years ago in a child custody issue I had. I was repeatedly fighting with my ex; we could never agree on anything and my poor son was caught in the middle. He would come home with mystery bruises and little explanations for the injuries when he returned from his father...s' home. My lawyers at the time seemed to care little and would never return my calls. Mr. Chiero handled the case in a very professional manner once I hired him. He would take my calls, and had a very soothing demeanor. He was unintimidated by my ex's lawyers, and fought to get me an Order of Protection that saved my son a lot of pain. I now am able to support my son with the custody deal he worked out, and I know that my son is safe in my custody. The ease with which Mr. Chiero was able to reference the law and his skill in the courtroom made me comfortable at all times. I highly recommend him!

Mr. Chiero represented me a few years ago when he was employed with La Sale Street law firm Rinella & Rinella. My experience with him was very dissapointing. On various occasions he failed to advise me of important matters that were conveyed to him by my ex-wife's attorney which resulted in unecessar...y complications and costs for me. When I realized there was a pattern of such behavior with him, I attempted to address this matter in his office. He responded angrily and used profanity in what seemed an attempt to intimidate me. I was stunned and very upset that my attorney, who I was paying to meet with at the time, would have the nerve to behave so unprofessionally towards me. Shortly after this experience, I requested a meeting with one of the firm's principles. After I discussed my concerns, he asked Chiero to join the meeting and apologize to me. Mr. Chiero did apologize, but I insisted that I no longer felt comfortable with him as my attorney and requested the firm's senior partner take over my case. He refused to do so which caused a serious and costly dilemma for me. I proceeded to terminate this relationship despite the difficulty and costs of retaining a new attornery/firm in the middle of my divorce. Unfortunately, my nightmare didn't end there. Over the past few years, this law firm alleged I owed them money and unsuccessfully filed multiple law suits against me. Suffice to say any trust and respect I may have had for Chiero and Rinella & Rinella was completely destroyed.
