I have been married for almost 30 years and have one son. We have two dogs and a cat and family life is very important to me. I am proud to be a veteran and was a legal specialist in the Army from 1983 to 1986. I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. I graduated from William Mitchell College of Law and attended nights while working full time days. My hobbies include reading, golfing, swimming, and feeding fish off the dock at the office. I am still passionate about the law and the courts and enjoy what I do immensely. Though stressful at times I realize that I directly affect many lives and try to do it in a positive fashion.

Waste of time and a lot of money.
Promised everything, received nothing. Acted like a real tough guy, but delivered nothing and settled in the end. We got nothing out of this and were drug through the system while continously racking up the bill.
It is always difficult to respond to an anonymous posting. I can say that I urge clients to communicate with me about any issues or concerns that they may have. The fact that this person claims that I "promised everything" shows that the review is not accurate. I never promise anything to my clients because family law is never a sure thing. I can tell them what is likely to occur in a situation based upon my 22 years of experience, but I always make it very clear that there are no guarantees in family law. Many cases do settle, but I have always been and always will be a strong advocate for my clients and would only settle if it was in my client's best interests. I would urge this person to provide more information so I can properly respond and contact me with their concerns so I can property address them.

Very Good at Family Law
Robert guided us through the custody process in a straight forward manner and got us every thing that we asked for. He has a very easygoing appearance at first - but is a pit bull when it goes to court. He is the best guy to have on your side in the courtroom.

Extremely effective litigator
Bob is a no nonsense family law atty. He is respected in the courtroom by both the judge and opposing counsel. My ex-wife tried everything she could to create problems through my divorce. Bob knew exactly how to handle each situation, which ones to address and which ones to ignore and in all cases...

Not Sure he is capable
Did not respond to me, Left me waiting in his office for hours, did not present informaation needed to courts, did not return messages I placed I would not use him again
The comments posted by Dan are not accurate and reflect his frustration at the results of his case, which were caused by his actions. I have never left anyone waiting at my office for hours and as can be seen by the other reviews, I am extremely competent in Court.

Made a hard time easier.
He gets the job done at a very fair price. You don't pay for fluff, only what you need. I was kept informed and things were taken care of in a timely manner. He makes the high dollar guys look stupid. Would use him again, but hope I never have to.
"I had a heckuva case against Bob that went to trial, he is a very good attorney who also wants to help his client and resolve the case. I endorse Bob Manson."
"I endorse this lawyer. He is a seasoned and tough litigator. At the same time, he is willing to put in the time to craft a well-reasoned and detailed settlement where possible."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Robert Manson works very hard for his clients applying the skills he has developed over the course of his twenty-three years as a Minnesota family law lawyer. Although he is well known for his rigorous and detailed trial preparation and litigation skills, he prefers settlement over court battles. But whether in the court room, or the mediation table, the most important outcome for Mr. Manson is a favorable one, for his client."
