I believe Mike was an excellent lawyer for me. After I got an MIP and my friend's Dad referred me to him, he took me throughout the entire process. He told me exactly what would be expected me, giving me time to do things like community service and other tasks before court, to help minimize my eventu...al court costs and things like the duration & scope of probation. He gave me realistic estimates of what my final sentence would be, and he was spot on with my final sentence from the Judge. Without him advocating on my behalf, I am sure the entire ordeal would have been much worse and probation would have lasted much longer than if I hadn't had a lawyer at all.

Let me put any doubts you might have to ease by simply saying this: if you're looking for a criminal lawyer, look no further than Mike Kelly. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Upon our first meeting, after explaining the entire situation to him, Mike spent a lot of time explaining to m...e how the entire process will pan out and how I need to start working on a pro-active plan he had in mind for me. He listened keenly and understood where I was coming from. I found him likeable, friendly, and extremely easy to talk to, and very understanding of the entire situation as well. He likes to talk, and I would call that his area of expertise, hands down. He knows how to mold the entire situation to the benefit of his clients and get the results needed. In my situation, he knew exactly what I needed to do which ultimately led to our desired results (6 months non-reporting probation and after 6 months if everything goes well, the incident would be wiped off my record). Having been involved in something like this for the first time in my life, I had no idea, no clue whatsoever on how to go about doing things ranging from getting a date for pre-trial, right up to the procedures and steps involved in the day of the sentencing at the courthouse. Mike comes from a family of lawyers and has grown up in this same area. He knows all the people involved in the process, has wonderful inter-personal skills and is excellent with communicating his needs to everyone involved. He knew everyone at the courthouse ranging from clerks and cashiers, all the way to the judge which speaks to me a lot about his people skills. I would recommend Mike Kelly 100% to any one who is looking for a criminal lawyer. He knows what he's talking about and will get you the best results possible. He did for me, and I could not ask for a better attorney.

My daughter and a large group of her friends were essentially trapped by a group of police officers on a bus. They got MIPs. As a parent you are not happy with your child but the police officers and the law went beyond "the punishment fitting the crime" Michael stepped in, and out of 7 attorneys ...helping each of these families individually, Michael was THEE ONLY ONE, who actually knew EXACTLY how to deal with the law and basically completely educated the other attorneys and their families to protect their children instead of "throwing their lives to the wolves". I can't say thank you enough to Michael. And further, he also helped me hold my child accountable for the actions.

To Mike: First, I have to address my deepest gratitude and admiration for your expertise, professionalism and reputation as an accomplished attorney in this area, especially Plymouth at 35th District Court. I was constantly impressed by the evidence of the obvious signs of your favorable reputat...ion within that court house, from the court officers, recorders, probation officers and, most importantly, the Judges, namely Judge Gerou. The outcome you were able to obtain is/was remarkable, a miracle in my mind. I was fairly certain id be spending a considerable amount of time in jail and have depressingly carried that burden since the incident. What you accomplished was brilliant! As you know, I was happy to comply with your pre-court plan and I do agree that success with that plan made a huge difference. I have nothing but incredible and positive feedback regarding this life changing experience and I will absolutely be endorsing you and expressing my satisfaction on AVVO and other appropriate sites.
