I originally hired Jonathan to help me with my OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) case, but on the day of my court date he had an emergency felony case somewhere else so he handed me off to Michael Kelly. I waited in the lobby on the day of my court date for Michael Kelly who arrived early enough to ...come talk to me, he came right up to me, shook my hand, and took down some notes about me. We went into the court room and he got in touch with the prosecutor and everything and was very proactive and confident. Michael immediately got my license to only being restricted instead of suspended when he talked to the prosecutor before we went up to the judge. I was thoroughly impressed with how quick he took care of that. When it was time to go up to the judge, Michael made a GREAT statement about me to the judge talking about the AA meetings, community service, MADD meeting, and the substance abuse assesment, which impressed him enough where I got the lower charge of Driving While Visibly Impaired with a restricted license and NO PROBATION AT ALL!!! Michael and I walked out of the court room in shock from being able to get no probation for me and we were both extremely happy! Michael is amazing and what he does, extremely knowledgable, confident, and very personable. Michael made this court date go from a nightmare to a dream. I HIGHLY recommend Michael to anyone and everyone. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE PROGRAM THEY RECOMMEND FOR YOU!!! Do the extra work before so you do not have to do it after!

Not ever being in trouble for anything in my life I was extremely nervous about what could happen to me for the First time being in any court system. My attorney Mike Kelley did a outstanding job not only representing me as a lawyer in the court room but making sure I did what I needed to do outsid...e the court room to have a successfull outcome one of the most confident and positive people I have ever got to know or be around. I was arrested and charged for a OWI with a High BAC in Michigan (first offense). Mike had me start a proactive plan to demonstrate to the courts that I am a person of quality character. The plan including attending AA, random breathalyzers, drug testing, and community service prior to appearing in... court. I believe the prosecution in my case had significant evidence to convict me. We took a plea deal of OWI (dropping the High BAC charge which has significantly more harsh punishments). The resulting sentence was 6 months of probation with minimalistic terms. The plan he had me doing for 2 months removed 6 months of probation from my sentence and lessened probation requirements. I highly recommend Mike Kelly and Kelly family for any legal matters. They are very responsive and thorough with any legal case.
