I could not speak more highly of Mr. Kelly. He assured me when he took on my "Minor in Possession" case that MIPs were a specialty of his and he promised that I would not be convicted of the misdemeanor. He asked that I complete a certain amount of service hours, AA meetings, etc so that we could b...e proactively fighting this charge even before the court date. Once the court date came, Mr. Kelly met with the prosecutor and had my case entirely dismissed. It was the best possible scenario that I could have hoped for. Mr. Kelly is a fighter. Follow his steps to proactively build your case and he will take care of the rest. I am incredibly grateful for what Mr. Kelly has done for me and I know that he is the type of lawyer that you want in your corner of the ring.

On March 2017, I was caught shoplifting at Macy's in Dearborn,Mi. I was terrified b/c this was my first time and I couldn't afford to have Retail Fraud/larceny on my record! I googled a bunch of attorneys but Kelly&Kelly came up first and their reviews touched my heart the most so I decided to go wit...h my gut. I hired Mike immediately. Before My court date Mike thought like a judge and a prosecutor. He had me take a online theft course and go to these in person kleptomania classes. I'm not a kleptomaniac! But it was all apart of the game, to show the judge that I was taking steps in the right direction(b/c these are the things they would order you to do anyway). Long story short, Mike was able to convince the prosecutor to drop the larceny charges right away and charge me with a lesser crime "Breach of peace" and only 3months of probation. Here's the cherry on top. Once I complete the 3months probation(meeting once a month and 1 work program per month) the Breach of peace will be off my record completely!! Like it never happened! God is so good! I was extremely nervous and didn't know how my case was going to turn out. But Mike reassured me that" they can screw over everyone in that court room, but not my client!" and he made sure of that! Hire him, do what he suggests and leave it in Gods hands. Everything will be ok. I'm very pleased with how my case turned out. Mike and Tiffany make a great team :-) p.s these reviews are real! Mike Kelly was the 4th lawer I interviewed with to handle my case and I knew within minutes he was the guy for the job. When I first sat down with him I was terrified, I felt completely helpless and alone. He quickly addressed all of my concerns regarding my case, he was honest about my expectations,... but compassionate about my situation. He made he me feel like he was personally invested in my case. When I left his office I felt confident and hopeful about what I could expect. Mike and his team stayed in contact with me on a regular basis throughout the entire process, keeping me on task with our plan of actions and making sure I was taking every step possible to insure the best outcome in my case. I made a horrible decision and got myself into a situation that resulted in arrest for a hit and run and OWI. This was the first time that I had ever been in any sort of trouble and I honestly had no idea where to begin to fix things. I live in Northville so I found Kelly & Kelly based on their locat...ion, experience with DUIs, and great ratings on Jonathan Paul's proactive program. I applied to be a client and they contacted me within an hour of submission. They were always prompt in their responses to all of my questions and were able to begin helping me almost immediately. I am the type of person that does not take these things lightly and really beat myself up about this stupid mistake, but Mike, Jonathan, and the secretary, Tiffany, were very straightforward with me, saying that yes, I made a mistake, but everyone makes mistakes and that they would help to make sure this did not have a detrimental impact moving forward. I immediately started attending AA meetings, volunteering, and began Soberlink twice a day to build my case that this was a one time mistake and that I understood how serious it was. Mike was willing to speak with me the week before and the night before the court date to help calm my nerves and talk me through the events that would most likely take place in court. Since I am a very organized and prepared person who has never even been inside a court room before, this helped immensely. Mike met me immediately in the hallway the morning of and again went through what would be happening in the next few hours. He went and spoke with the prosecutor and unbelievably got the hit and run completely dismissed which left me with only the OWI. He stayed with me throughout the day and also spoke with my probation officer to make sure that I was getting the appropriate probation requirements. I ended up with 9 months of non-reporting probation, 30 days restricted license, 90 days of continuing on twice a day Soberlink, and holiday testing for the remainder of the probation period. The judge also allowed me to travel out-of-state since I had been proactive in the month between the incident and the pre-trial. This result was far better than I had ever imagined or could have obtained on my own. Mike and his team really helped me through one of the hardest things in my life and I cannot thank them enough. Tiffany was also amazing and was my rock throughout this trying month. Any time I had a panic attack or questions that she had probably already heard a thousand times before, she was extremely patient with me and helped to calm my nerves. Throughout this time I was beating myself up every day telling myself how terrible a person I was, but Tiffany always reassured me that everyone makes mistakes and that this incident does not define me and that I need to look forward and use the past as a learning experience.
