So the title of this review tells exactly why I gave him 5 stars. He wasn’t just a hired worker. He took an interest in not only helping my case, but making sure I took this opportunity to look within myself and make sure I didn’t just “go through the system and come out clean” like I had done in the... past. The steps he gave me were beyond just to lessen my sentence. They were steps to better myself, acknowledge that my mistakes were made and to better myself I needed to take those steps seriously. He wasn’t just a lawyer, he was a life coach. Today I stand as a better person, and he is to thank for that.

The words I type cannot explain how much Michael has did for me over the past year. Michael represented me and stayed with me for countless court dates. The court never got it right. Mike did. The court never got the other thing right. Mike did. I sat down with Michael at the beginning of the process... and he was pretty bold, my case stunk! 2 DUIs in 5 months! Thank GOD he had a plan of action! Michael's proactive approach is amazing! Michael put me on a plan for my illness and stupidity. I came out a million bucks and I owe all of that to him. Recovery is a full time job but it is so worth it! I credit Mike for getting me started. Charges..2nd DUI w/high BAC and open intox Settled...first offense visibly impaired I want to be like Mike!

I made a terrible mistake to drive after drinking. After my night in jail, I was relieved no one was hurt, angry with myself and scared of the unknown punishment to come. I met with Mike and his team the next day. They told me that the worst was over - if I did what they told me to do. They gave ...me a plan of action to follow and said that if I did that, they would take care of the rest. They did that and so much more. Mike and his team were always available to answer emails or phone calls with questions about the process. They were patient and most importantly encouraging. When you're beating yourself up over a stupid decision, it helps to hear that you're doing the right thing to make amends. When push came to shove and I stood before the judge I was granted a far more lenient sentence than my 4x BAC could have allowed. That outcome was entirely due to Mike Kelly, his strategy and plan of action. I made a terrible mistake, but my second chance is off to a great start thanks to Mike Kelly and his team.

Without a doubt, the best criminal defense lawyer in Michigan! I was charged with retail fraud 3rd degree and was beyond scared about what could happen. I did not want to go to jail, or have a larceny/retail fraud on my record. I found the Kelly & Kelly law firm online and sent an email immediately. ...I received a response email within 10 minutes and knew I was at the right place. That evening I was informed about the proactive plan I needed to start in order to get me ready for court and to ensure the best possible outcome for me. I followed the plan and met with Mike to get ready for court. He made me feel much better about the situation and I knew I was in GREAT hands. Not only is he a good lawyer, he is a good person. The day of court Mike stepped up and spoke to the Judge explaining everything perfectly. I ended up with a delayed sentence and if I do not get in trouble for 12 months, everything will be dropped. So I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out for me. All thanks to Mike and his plan!!

My brother and I both received marijuana possession charges on a night out together. We were looking around for representation and my brother found Mike Kelly and read about his proactive approach to criminal cases. We contacted him with hopes to both be represented by the same lawyer. Mike not only ...represented us both, but suggested steps we could take prior to our court date. These steps were intended to get us on the right track with our lives and show the court that we were doing more than the average person in this situation. Both of our charges will be wiped from our permanent record and the steps we took prior to court will help us never get in this situation again. Mike is an amazing defense lawyer and I would highly reccomend him to others. He also caught 3 different mistakes the court made that could have been serious problems for me and my bother. For example, warrants were mistakenly put out for our arrest. We waived our arraignment and the court did not file our paperwork correctly. So they put out warrants for us missing a court date that we didn’t have to be at. Mike’s team quickly blocked the warrants and took care of the situation before it became a real problem. Mike is a quick thinking man when it comes to unforeseen problems in the court room as well. Overall 5/5 stars. Thanks for everything, Chris
