Old case was in warrant status and Loren got everything changed for the best

I’ve had some issues sorting things out over the years but I have everything going for me now including an amazing job and family. Unfortunately, one of the issues from my past came back to bite me and I didn’t even know it was still in warrant status. To say I was devastated by learning an old cas...e was still open is a serious understatement. I was so afraid I was going to go to jail or lose my job or have everything I built come tumbling down around me. I hired Loren Dickstein based on the referral of a family member who has used him in the past and said he was an amazing lawyer. My case was handled right away and I was given a personal bond. Loren wrote a letter to the prosecutor that was simply incredible and showed them that I am not the same person as the young, impetuous women who got in trouble years ago. The case was resolved in an incredibly fair way and I’m so grateful to not only Loren but also his staff. When Loren told me that everyone in his firm operates as a team, I had no idea what that meant or how that would impact my case but it was really cool to see how they cooperate and how much it helped me to have so many lawyers all helping at the same time. This is a special place and very special people who truly care in their hearts about their clients as people and not just as clients for fees.

This is a genuinely good guy

My situation is different than in many reviews but I think it should be known that this lawyer is really out there to help people in a fair way. I called yesterday to talk about a legal problem I’m dealing with in trying to clear an arrest from my record. I had spoken to several lawyers and many sai...d there was nothing that could be done to help and wouldn’t give me the time of day and other lawyers quoted big money fees but said “no guarantees” and only talked to me for 5 minutes. Mr. Dickstein was a breath of fresh air. He took well over half of an hour talking with me and hearing my story. He did not rush me, he just listened. He pointed me in the right direction to fix the problem on my own and with no cost. I would have paid this man for the time and excellent advice but he said that keeping him in mind for anything in the future I may need legally would be all he could ask for. I was floored and nearly fell off my seat. By the end of the day I had it taken care of with the Michigan State Police and it’s getting cleared up. Basically half the lawyers out there don’t know how to practice law and the other half want money for something a normal person like me can do on their own with a little guidance and respect. Mr. Dickstein didn’t take my money, helped me in an amazing way, and treated me with respect because he was confident I was capable of fixing my record on my own if I just knew how to do it. We need more people like this and if I’m ever in need of a lawyer in the future, I will ONLY call this lawyer.

The lawyer to go to when no one else can help.

In Jan 2018, I went before my judge and was told I faced jail time for a felony and habitual 2. The lawyer I originally hired (not Loren) promised me I would not go to jail if I hired him. Given that I was now facing jail and my lawyer had nothing but excuses, I sought out a new attorney. One of the... lawyers I met with was straight with me, honest about the possible outcomes, and confident in the best approach to convince the judg to give me a second chance. You guessed it, it was Loren Dickstein. I did hire Loren and that wasn’t easy to do consideringi had already paid 1 lawyer. Loren did a really great job and filed a memorandum with the judge that was just the most incredible thing. He through of things to present that no one else thought of. I was given a fair sentence and I do not have to go to Oakland County Jail if I follow my probation order. When no one else could help me, Loren did.

Saved my brothers life and kept our family from falling apart.

I hired Loren Dickstein to represent our family and specifically my brother who was charged with felony child pornography charges in federal court. The allegations were deviatasting to me and my family because my brother had never been in trouble a day in his life, he is a good father and has always... had excellent employment. He is a good brother and son to my parents. No one who knew him had any idea he had a problem. We interviewed several attorneys and Loren Dickstein very experienced and had a great reputation. He was compassionate and treated my family and my brother with dignity. He was not judgmental. Loren always returned calls and emails and he was patient and responsive with all of our many concerns and fears. His knowledge of the law, the courts, and the US attorney was thorough and impressive and made us feel confident. The resources and therapy he directed us to so that my brother could get help were invaluable. My brother received an extremely fair outcome under the circumstances. Although my brother has a problem, he is getting the help he needs and his prognosis is excellent to not fall back into his old behavior. Thankfully, my brother still has a chance at a productive life and a life with his family intact. I am thankful for the excellent guidance and help.

Says what he means and does what he says. Mr. Dickstein was an awesome advocate and great attorney.

I was under federal and state investigation and interviewed several lawyers looking for someone I trusted to help me. I was very skeptical and, frankly, did not trust lawyers or have good experiences with them in the past. I was impressed with Mr. Dickstein right off the bat because he was straight... with me about my situation and didn’t play games trying to get me to hire him. For better or worse, he laid it on the line, told me the good, bad and ugly and made it clear how he would be able to help. He did not make promises or guarantees like other lawyers I met with which was a key reason in why I hired him. Another thing that was impressive was seeing his office and the way his team worked together. Instead of hiring one lawyer, I liked that there was a group of people supporting me and working to defend me. My case went on for a very long time but in the end, Mr. Dickstein was instrumental in getting the federal government to let the state prosecutor handle the case. We were able to reach a fair plea bargain and sentence that made me feel like I got the benefit of Mr. Dickstein’s superior negotiating skills. I knew from the beginning I was not going to walk away from my situation but I am convinced that I got the best outcome possible under the circumstances. This would not have been the case without Mr. Dickstein who was on my side and working for me nonstop. I wish him nothing but good fortune and happiness and thank him for helping me get past the most difficult time in my life and with a future still to look forward to.
