Andrew Byers' elder law practice focuses on the legal needs of older clients and their families, and works with a variety of legal tools and techniques to meet the goals and objectives of the older client. Under this holistic approach, we handle estate planning issues and counsel clients about planning for incapacity with alternative decision making documents. We also assist clients and their families in planning for possible long-term care needs, including nursing home care. Asset protection and obtaining Medicaid or Veteran's benefits are all part of our elder law practice.

We hired Andrew to create a trust for my aging parents. He took the time to make my Mother comfortable with the process. He answered all my calls and gave me clear answers on how to proceed. He also provided help with the Aid and Attendance benefit from the VA. I would highly recommend him to any...

I hired Andrew to prepare a number of estate planning documents for my mother. I'm a lawyer but not familiar with Michigan estate planning law, so I was pleased to find Andrew's firm and impressed with his responsiveness and thoroughness, as well as with how he and his staff interacted with my mother...
"Andrew and I practice the same types of law -- estate planning, elder law and Veterans benefits. We also belong to the some of the same groups and associations of estate planning and elder law attorneys. Andrew has a great deal of experience in these specialty areas and is very willing to share his expertise. I have found him to be very thoughtful, professional and capable of assisting those dealing with difficult issues. I would not hesitate to recommend Andrew's services to anyone needing an elder law or estate planning professional."

"I have known Andrew R. Byers for many years, and I am happy to refer all my Elder Law issues to him. He is smart, organized, dedicated, and passionate about the work he performs. Often with Elder care cases we are dealing with people that are vulnerable; people who could be taken advantage of under the worst of circumstances. This is why it is important to hire someone that is proven time and again to be competent, trustworthy and honest. I enthusiastically endorse Attorney Andrew R. Byers."
"I endorse Andrew Byers regarding estate planning and elder law matters. We have worked together on various probate matters, and I believe Andrew provides competent, high quality legal services for his clients."
"I have known Andrew since we attended Wayne State Law School over 17 years ago. He is a great lawyer and very knowledgeable in his practice areas.
