i was in need of a good attorney due to the nature of the case and the possible prison sentence accompanying the case . Jon got the job done . I always felt like my life/ freedom were in good hands. So my son messed up. Not really bad but a little bad. Jon worked with us and understood our situation, as any lawyer would. But what was incredible to me was the amount of respect he was given by all throughout the system. It made a not great situation seem as if it were friends hashing out the case. (Which was good for us).

He went above and beyond when he had nothing to gain, could have easily taken my money but instead pointed me in the right direction and saved me thousands of dollars. Will hire him for any future problems!!

Hands down the best in the area, as the rest of these reviews attest as well. I can't say enough about Jon Sinn. Jon combines honesty, knowledge, hard work, attention to detail, and local connections to give you the best defense. From day 1 Jon made a great impression on me. He said don’t pay my fee if you aren’t trying to win this case and don’t pay me if they have you dead to rights. He can’t do any better than a cheap lawyer for an OVI case if you blow high and look horrible on the sobriety test. Still, Jon’s fees are very reasonable and he was much more affordable than other lawyers I talked to. Jon simply has amazing lawyer skills. As he explained it, he uses his knowledge of the law and his personal connections to find any weaknesses, any openings, anything to take advantage of leverage to get the best deal. His defense will not rely on a single element but rather will involve a multi-prong approach. And while it may seem bleak, as it did for me with a prosecutor that clearly was playing hardball, those opportunities do arise and undoubtedly Jon will give you the best chance of creating, finding, and taking advantage of them. It is clear that Jon has a lot of integrity and has his clients best interest at all times. I have heard horror stories of lawyers that mail it in after getting paid. Not Jon, he was continually filing for all hearings and documents that could help. And incredibly, Jon kept fighting for me after the judge’s sentence! After I pled to a physical control violation and the judge sentenced, Jon was able to get the prosecutor to drop the ALS (license suspension due to refusing - in my case a urine test). My case was especially tricky as it did not involve alcohol but rather legally ingested prescription medication along with drug charges for “trace amounts”, and paraphernalia. The case started in Stow courts but was sent to Summit County and then back to Stow. All of this during Covid. Through it all Jon and his team were on top of every hearing, document, due date, etc and communicated that to me. And lastly I do want to mention how organized, considerate, and professional the rest of his team is. Hanne and Julie were a pleasure to work with and their support and communication was extremely helpful to navigating my case. Knowing that Jon has competent people assisting lends even more confidence in his ability to generate a positive outcome. If your freedom and livelihood is at stake, it’s a mistake to go with anyone other than Jon Sinn and his team. He is the best lawyer in Northeast OH. I even heard Judge Hoover in Stow Court say exactly that. The other reviews on this site are true.

I was facing many many felonies , f2s f3s f4s and f5s, looking at ALOT of time, and previous felony convictions with current gun and drug cases ND was out on bond and caught MORE cases! I went home on PROBATION and drug treatment meanwhile everyone is telling me I’ll get 8-12 years including the JUDGE. Attorney Sinn is among the very best in the NATION, not just Ohio. I Trust this man with my life and have many times before. Hiring anyone else is not only unwise, just plain old stupid... if there is a snowballs chance in hell ... Jon Sinn is by far the best Lawyer I've ever had. If you ask anybody they will tell you Jon Sinn is one of if not the most respected attorney in the Akron, Barberton, and Kent area. He has worked cases for NFL players. He is extremely professional and handles all of his cases as if he were representing his own son or daughter. If you want the best of the best, you go with Jon Sinn. I guarentee you wont regret the best decision you've ever made.

I was placed into CBCF. An unfortunate series of events got me terminated from the program. My probation officer and the prosecutor wanted me to go to prison. Jon was able to get me 60 days in Glenwood jail, and probation terminated. Kind of expensive but freedom is priceless!

I have had john sinn represent me 4 times in the last 10 years 2assaults,dwi ,driving on suspension. And a minor drug charge. And every time has either proved me innocent or the mininum consequences.

I was pulled over (state patrol) and told a motorcyclist traveling on the same highway had called in and said I was doing 80 one night in June of 2017. I was offered but refused a sobriety test and was subsequently arrested for an OVI. I haven't lived in the area that long and didn't want to start "asking" around for personal recommendations (due to embarrassment) so I had to rely on a google search which lead me to Mr. Sinn. As stated earlier, this was my second offense and I refused the tests (with no real good explanation) so I pretty much hired Mr. Sinn hoping he could just make sure the Judge didn't go too crazy on my penalties. Long story short, Mr. Sinn got my charge reduced down to reckless operation! I have absolutely no explanation on how and didn't ask, when he told me the good news I was in complete shock and the only thing running through my mind was, "I need to get out of here as fast as possible before someone changes their mind". This guy is the REAL DEAL! Going through something like this is hard and no lawyer can really guarantee the outcome, but I can guarantee you Mr. Sinn is going to give you your best chance to win.

I was charged with an OVI/refusal in June and this would serve as my 3rd offense total, 2nd in ten. I was pulled over and arrested in Hudson and had all court proceedings at Stow Municipal. The officer was high pressure and made me feel completely uncomfortable so I refused the field sobriety tests and breathalyzer which automatically makes someone look guilty of driving while under the influence. At the suppression hearing the prosecutor was offering reckless op, with the possibility of 20 days jail, classes, 2 year suspension for refusal etc. Jon went back and forth several times talking to myself and the prosecutor before he finally got the prosecution to agree to physical control (no points- as the reckless would have added 6 points to my record, suspending it), no jail time, no classes, no extended alcohol monitoring and an immediate reinstatement of my license with full privileges waiving the $475 reinstatement fee. It was the best possible outcome, given my priors, without wasting too much time and money in court taking it to trial. I appreciate Jon’s persistence, listening to me and what I wanted and not taking the first deal the prosecution made. We both knew I had a pretty winnable case if taken to trial so he got the best deal he possibly could without jumping through all the hoops. Thanks again for everything Jon!

I was facing 2 F2, 2 F3, 2 F4, and 2 F5 Felonies for crimes that I didnt commit, This may sound like a story but this is a true story. I was contracted to do a job in my neighborhood and upon finishing the job I was approched by a detective who knew me from my past and was handed an indictment for all of these crimes against the home owner. The detective didnt want me working in the neighborhood so he had went to the home owner and told her all about my criminal past and scared her into feeling like a victom so she pressed charges like burglary and theft from the elderly, it was a huge mess. Well the truth is I didnt do anything illegal or wrong at all, Long story short I took it to jury trial and Hired Mr Sinn. , I never made it to jury trial and all charges were dropped. Attorney Sinn had litteraly brought the truth to light and saved my life. I was facing over 15 years and walked away no jailtime just a hand shake!
