My husband is almost home.

When the world was against us, Loren Dickstein and his team with Lewis & Dickstein stood by our side. My husband was falsely accused and wrongfully imprisoned in 2005, a grim and devastating reality our family was thrust into. The legal system that was supposed to protect us seemed to have turned it...s back, with the prosecutor in the case seemingly more interested in winning than in seeking the truth. Vital evidence was hidden from my husband’s trial defense lawyer, and the police and prosecutor blatantly violated his rights. The prosecutor is no longer with that office, and we were told she did this to many black men during her tenure as an assistant prosecutor in the drug unit. Over the years, many lawyers came and went. Some gave us false hopes; others gave up before even trying. Each disappointment added another layer to our already deep wound. But we never lost hope. And, when we approached Loren Dickstein, he gave us hope. From the very first meeting, Loren believed in my husband’s innocence. He was not just our lawyer; he was our advocate, friend, and pillar of support in an unforgiving world. His teams’ unwavering dedication to uncovering the truth in the face of injustice was nothing short of inspiring. They worked tirelessly to present the overlooked evidence and were persistent in persuading the Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU) to review my husband’s case. Once they started listening, the CIU unit prosecutors were amazing. It just took a persuasive and reputable team of lawyers to get them to examine my husband’s case. Our attorney’s attention to detail, deep understanding of the law, and spirit to fight for justice are what we prayed for for years. But what sets them apart is their empathy and kindness. Successful drivers license restoration

I’m a client of Loren Dickstein. The Michigan SOS revoked my license after I failed sobriety court for a second OWI in 2020. Recovery has been a difficult road for me. It’s fair to say I was struggling. A close friend helped me find my way. Through total immersion in AA and my church, I’ve been compl...etely sober now for two years. The only thing missing was my driver’s license and ability to financially care for myself. My friend hired Loren and his team to seek restoration of my DL and they were truly a godsend! Their help was detailed, skilled, honest, and professional. We submitted for an administrative hearing (I live out of Michigan now in a better environment). The appeal to get my driver’s license restored was a success!! I recommend Loren with my highest possible endorsement. He is another in a long line of miracles that have become part of my life the past couple of years.

Got my driver's license back - first try!

When I lived in Michigan in the late 80s, I picked up a couple of DIU charges and lost my driver license. I've been living in Genoa, Italy, for the past 10 years and want to move back to Oakland County, Michigan, for a career opportunity. I had to get my driver license back and had no time for mistak...es or bargain representation. I hired LEWIS & DICKSTEIN in Oakland County, and they handled the case for me with the appeal for license restoration to the DAAD. Loren was the primary lawyer working for me, although I can say it was a team effort at his firm. I was granted a restricted license, and I'm now able to move back to the US to advance in my career field. This was the best choice in legal representation I've ever made.

Best lawyer hands done

I first met Loren and his team in 2016 when I hired him for my husbands state case felon in possession of firearm. He was charged by the state and federal but federal cases are very expensive so had court appointed for federal and Loren for state. First let me mention I live in Texas and I didn’t fi...nd one lawyer who was as honest and to the point as Loren. Loren, George and his team worked tremendously hard and were able to achieve excellent results. In 2019 I hired Loren again for help with my husband while he was in federal custody. My husband was wrongfully placed in the SHU and Loren successfully got them to not only place him back in general population but he was transferred to a camp which is the lowest security clearance in federal prison. In 2020 I hired Loren and his team again to help with compassionate release for my husband due to COVID concerns. I first tried going the cheap route and it was such a big mistake but Loren jumped in and corrected the previous lawyers mistakes right away. They went above and beyond for us, the professionalism, the research, and the efficiency is outstanding from this firm.The judge didn’t grant the compassionate release but it was not for lack of effort or presentation but for the simple fact that my husband was considered very low risk health wise. His law firm is so amazing that even my family has sought out his services(won their cases).when Hurricane Laura hit my husbands facility this past week I sought out Loren again to see if we should try to appeal the Original compassionate release case. Whereas many lawyers would have just taken the money knowing I would have lost, Loren gave me truthful and honest advice. Of course he would have still represented me if I wished but he felt being honest took precedent over money. This is why I will ALWAYS hire Loren for any issues that may arise and would advise anyone who wants the best to do the same . Also it’s worth noting that I don’t have to wait a long time for a response. I always get a response same day or at least in 24 hours and always received updates. This law firm is a little bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Loren is blunt, straight to the point and all around really good guy. Thank you Loren, George and the rest of the team for being an excellent law firm I can count on.
