Outstanding skill

I was accused with an assault charges that can result in me losing my job because of the yearly background check they do. Mr Dickstein used his outstanding knowledge and negotiation skills to get the charges diverted without any criminal conviction on my records. He also was able to save me almost $3...5,000 in fines. Representation on Domestic Violence in Oakland County

I was charged with domestic violence and a probation violation in Rochester Hills district court in Oakland County. I searched for lawyers on the internet and hired the amazing criminal defense attorneys at Lewis and Dickstein. I had a problem and they helped me both get my personal life on the righ...t track but also saved me from jail. Other lawyers told me there was no way I was staying out of jail with the judge overseeing my case. They were wrong. My life and marriage are better as a result of working with Loren and his staff and I appreciate them truly going to bat for me. I will never commit a crime, let alone domestic violence, in Rochester Hills, Oakland County, or anywhere else for that matter.

Saved my relationship with my kids and my freedom

The charge in my case was felony domestic violence 3rd and needless to say, my situation was highly complicated, the prosecutor hated me, and my soon to be ex-wife was out to get every advantage possible against me in our divorce and custody case. Defending me was a true team effort and I see why I w...as told that a group of lawyers collaborating and working together can accomplish more than any one lawyer working alone. This became evident to me very quickly as Loren Dickstein and my lawyers seems to out maneuver, out think, and out perform either of the Prosecutor’s who handled my case. In the end, the truth was revealed, justice was served fairly, I got some help I needed, and my wife’s plan to keep the kids from me failed. I now am being treated fairly in my divorce which is something that didn’t happen the first time. I’m very great full to L&D and the whole team. They literally saved my life.

If your case is winnable, Loren will win it

OK, so, obviously every case is different, so keep that in mind. I can only speak to my experience. Loren represented me for a violent felony -- Assault With Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder. The maximum penalty was 10 years in prison. My argument was self defense, but I was orig...inally given a public defender who told me my case was impossible to win. The prosecutor was not even offering ANY plea deal. None, whatsoever. They were THAT confident in the case. My mother talked to Loren Dickstein, who came and visited me in Oakland County Jail and told me he could win my case. Not just get a plea deal, but actually WIN it. He comes across very serious and business-like, so I knew he wasn't just trying to be charming and telling me what I wanted to hear. So, we hired him. First, he filed a motion to reduce my bond and was able to convince the judge that I could be released on house arrest while preparing for my trial -- and the judge was hesitant at first, but Loren convinced her based on the facts of the case. Trust me, this is big. You don't want to fight a case from inside of jail. I was much better off being on house arrest. So, that was Loren's first victory against a very aggressive prosecutor. Then, about 3 weeks into my house arrest, I was late on blowing into my breathalyzer. Three different times. The prosecutor filed a motion to revoke my bond and put me back in jail. Loren prepared well for the motion, and won against the prosecutor again and kept me out on house arrest instead of back in jail. Loren's third victory for me was the trial itself. Now, you may not take your case to trial like I did, but if you do, just know that Loren is more than just "good" at trial. He is gifted. He phrases things in a way that connects with the jury, and his communication & verbal skills are extremely advanced. I am not easily impressed by people's intelligence, but I was with Loren's. After his closing argument, I wrote him an e-mail saying that I would highly recommend him even if I lost the trial. Because if I lost, it certainly wasn't gonna be because of him. But I didn't lose, obviously, because I'm writing this recommendation instead of sitting in prison with a felony record for the rest of my life. Loren won the trial and gave me a second chance at life. He is not the cheapest attorney, but he's also the best. So, that's your choice. Do you want to save money, or do you want to win? If your case is serious to you, like mine was to me, then I would recommend you do whatever is humanly possible to hire Dickstein, even if it means borrowing money. Money is temporary - it comes and goes. Your criminal record and freedom is permanent, and Loren is your best chance at winning.

Loren and Randy made a huge difference in my life and I’m forever greatful.

In 2016, my uncle assaulted me and refused to admit what he had done to my parents. I struggled with going to the police and took time to talk with friends and my parents. Everyone was so supportive and I decided to file a police report. When I reported the assault, the police officer criticized me ...for not reporting what happened right away (it had been about 3 weeks). He was demeaning, condescending and disrespectful. He acted as though I was being untruthful. I left the police station in tears and felt as if I had been victimized again. A close friend recommended that I call Randy Lewis and Loren Dickstein and see if they could help. I never expected them to do so much and they went to bat for me with the police. They were very empathetic and sensitive to what happened with me at the police and with my uncle. They took time to listen to me and they formulated a plan to convince the police that my report was true and that my uncle had some history that gave some credibility to what I said. I could tell immediately that they had the respect of the officers and the prosecutor. My uncle was charged and plead guilty. He is getting help for the problems he is having in life and I feel like I was finally treated fairly. Had it not been for Loren and Randy, my uncle would have ended up hurting someone else and I may have never recovered from my experience.
