Great lawyer that cares and goes the extra mile. Genuinely took time not just to represent my son but also to help him.

My son was in terrible legal trouble and suffering from an addiction to marijuana and prescription medication. He was arrested at the Canadian boarder by Homeland Security with pills and marijuna, he had a two misdemeanors in Oakland County, and a felony and misdemeanor in Livigston County. Even wh...ile on bond, my son struggled with staying clean and keeping a job. The outcome: federal prosecutor agreed not to charge, one count in Pontiac dismissed and one under delayed sentence (will be dismissed) and the judge in Howell is giving him HYTA on the felony and misdemeanor. He had 7411 in the past and couldn't get it again. What will happen now? I don't know but thanks to Loren, my son can walk way from all of this with no jail and no convictions. Loren has spent a ton of time talking to my son, giving him advice and helping him make better decisions. He has also spent time meeting with my wife and me, talking to us on the phone and exchanging emails. He has helped us when we felt lost and unable to help our child. Right now, my son is on the right track and getting the help he needs. It's up to him now but he has a chance that he wouldn't have had without Loren. We cannot do enough to express our gratitude. We will continue to pray for our son and have faith that we are now on the right track.

Early Probation termination

Loren was confident, honest, patient and very responsive to my case when I hired him. Loren did not BS me , he insisted I inquire about other lawyers before deciding to retain him, so I didn't have any negative expectations if the hearing didn't go in my favor. He did all the footwork and assured me ...he had it handled when it came to representation with the prosecutor or Judge.He was sharp and direct. My hearing was under a minute long..I walked out a happy woman. I would and will recommend him to anyone!!! He is passionate about his job and cares about his client:-)

As we discussed, your case was incredibly important to me because you had prior experiences with lawyers to made false promises and couldn't deliver the results you deserved. I was determined to win for you. Many people do not realize that the vast majority of work on a file goes on behind the scenes and in our office. Had it not been for hours of preparation and negotiations with the prosecutor before court, the hearing would have been prolonged and the result would have been less certain. I'm very glad you can now move forward with your plans for your family.

Mr. Dickstein is a consummate professional. His entire team is outstanding. After speaking with a number of other attorneys, my family hired Loren. We are all so grateful that they did. Most importantly, he got me a better result than I could have hoped for. His talent and skill have helped bring ab...out a new beginning in my life and it was a real comfort to know that my representation was genuinely concerned, not only about my legal outcome, but about my future beyond the courtroom. Just as important though is how Loren and Colleen and Randy helped my family. Dealing with the courts is possibly the worst experience of my life and was punishingly stressful on my family. Loren and everyone working with him understood that and they were patient, reassuring and compassionate throughout the ordeal. Calls were returned quickly, issues were explained thoroughly and time was taken to make sure that my family and I felt as prepared as possible. I really didn't expect the level of personal care we received. It was a huge blessing in an unimaginably difficult time. I got my life back when I thought it was over. Loren is the best criminal defense lawyer.

I hired Loren to help me with an aggravated domestic violence charge and a felony obstruction of the police. Needless to say, the incident was not a glowing moment in my life and I was seriously distraught. I was looking for a criminal lawyer and I had no idea what to do because I had never been in... this type of situation before. I was separated from my wife and unable to see my kids and things really could not have been any worse for me. I talked with three lawyers and was very confused. Each person said all the right things, were very successful, and each one of them had reputations in the community for being excellent lawyers. I decided to hire Loren and Randy because their firm was unique in the sense that I would have multiple lawyers working for me rather than just one or one and an associate. I liked that the partners both met me and they complimented each other in an obviously powerful way. Loren was going to be my lead lawyer but I was assured that I could talk with Randy as well and they would be working together every step of the way. The case lasted about 4 months and I felt very well taken care of. I was treated compassionately, they returned calls and when I was not thinking clearly, they spoke to me plainly and honestly so I could get back on track. If I was forced to pick out something that was not Loren’s greatest quality, I would say that he is very matter-of-fact and we really did not take the time to discuss my feelings very often. He would listen and be compassionate but, in the end, he was really very focused on my case and how to get me the result that I was hoping for. The bottom line was that he was very pragmatic, dedicated and an aggressive which is why I hired him so that was really the most important thing to me. The result of the case was actually better than even Loren originally thought it would be. He told me from the beginning that he could not guarantee me a result or give me a percentage chance of winning but he did everything he said he would do and everything turned out amazing. I now have 50/50 custody of my kids, I kept my job, I don’t have a felony record and my life is better because I hired Loren’s firm. What more could someone ask when hiring a lawyer?

This guy is a real lifesaver. Best lawyer I've ever worked with.

I interviewed several lawyers before meeting Loren and I've hired criminal defense, divorce and business lawyers in the past. It seems like most of the time they care more about themselves, money or the easy way out of a case. Loren really is different. He charged a flat fee so when the case took lon...ger than expected, I got worried he would quit fighting for me. That didn't happen! He was tenacious and he never stopped working on my file until we were satisfied that he had achieved the best possible outcome. The fee was more than some other lawyer charged but I've always found that you get what you pay for and the outcome was too important for me to bargain hunt. I'm really glad I hired Loren and I would never use anyone else in the future if needed. If a family member of mine was in trouble, I would tell them that Loren is their best option. I put that he was 4 out of 5 on being responsive because sometimes he took several hours to call me back but I understand he is in demand and very busy. He always does call back though and usually within a couple hours or faster. He always told me when important things happened in my case which really helped me control my anxiety. His staff is excellent too and was always there to help. The advantage to working with a partner in a law firm was that everyone there would help me and it was truly a team effort. Excellent service all the way around.
