Charges DECLINED! If not for Loren, I would have been facing felony charges.

I was referred to Loren Dickstein by my business attorney regarding possible embezzlement charges. I recently opened a business that is like the company I used to work for. My former employer reported to the police that I was improperly using my company credit card for personal uses and otherwise us...ing corporate resources for me personally. Many employees and the owner of the company I used to work for regularly used credit cards for some personal expenses and this was known and accepted. It looked bad at first and several other lawyers told me they couldn’t do anything and just to let them know if I was charged. This seemed like poor advice and I started to call several lawyers and kept getting similar advice; the response was different when I contacted Loren Dickstein. He assured me that it would be worth the investment to hire him on a pre-charge basis and let him try to stop the charges from ever being filed. I liked what he said and he had great answers to all my questions. His approach seemed to make the most sense and I figured it would be less expensive to hire him to represent me during the investigation part of the case as opposed to having to hire him to represent me in court on felony charges. Thank goodness, I followed Loren’s advice and let him take my case. We ended up working with an accounting expert and Loren’s investigator got some great stuff that we presented to the detective. After reviewing all the information, the prosecutor denied the warrant and said I would not be charged. Loren and his firm were the best investment that I could have made. If a family member of mine were ever accused of a crime, I would absolutely stress that Loren is the only lawyer I would ever trust.

Don't waste your time with anybody else.

Unbeknownst to me, a mentally ill woman accused me of domestic violence almost 4 years ago. I was not made aware until my arrest, when I was visiting MI years later. Immediately after my release, I retained a former family friend who worked as an attorney. He screwed everything up, and once a trial w...as scheduled, I made the mistake of leaving the state with the intent to never return. A little over a year later, my girlfriend started getting homesick, so I did some research and retained Loren. Loren’s skills are truly something to behold. On the first day, he got the courts to reschedule arraignment for a time that worked better with my schedule, even providing the exact time I had to arrive at the courthouse (more than an hour after the notice to appear said). In the month leading up to the court date, Loren communicated regularly, asking for information and keeping me updated on the actions he was taking. The difference between Loren and my previous attorney was shocking, and it was immediately clear he was on my side and intending to win. His efforts restored my hope that the charges against me could be overcome. On the day of the arraignment, Loren arrived thirty minutes early. He handled everything, including checking in, while I did little beyond signing a piece of paper. When I went before the judge, despite having failed to appear twice, Loren got the court order to stay in Michigan lifted, allowing me to leave legally and fulfill contractual obligations. The judge set the next date about a half month out, and although I was happy with the results so far, I was loathing the thought of the process dragging on. Beyond that, I was concerned I would not be able to make it to Michigan for the next court date without breaching the aforementioned contract. As we walked out of the courtroom, I commented to Loren that it felt as if the process was repeating. He assured me it was not, and I was surprised when he told me to wait so he could meet with the prosecutor. It turns out his diligent work had paid off greatly, as he had convinced the prosecutor to have the purported victim testify right after my appearance. Loren gave detailed instructions for handling everything, down to how I should react to anything the accuser said. Again, he handled everything. On the stand the accuser finally told the truth: I had committed no acts of violence against her. The judge promptly dismissed the case, ending my self-imposed exile with a solid win. Needless to say, attaining closure after so many years was rewarding, and I was happy knowing my girlfriend would no longer feel as if she had to stay out of Michigan because I could not go myself. On the way out of the courthouse, Loren asked me if it still felt as if the cycle was repeating. I happily conceded that my assessment was rash, and we joked about the next challenge being my flight on Spirit Airlines. Of course, the flight was awful and Spirit’s reputation is entirely deserved. Nevertheless, Loren ensured my time was well spent by achieving what seemed to be impossible from a legal perspective. Had I known then what I know now, the only thing I would have changed was the airline. If you want to win, go with Loren.

Help with a mentally disabled loved one with criminal case

I must say that I would wholeheartedly recommend Loren to take care of any case involving a mentally disabled loved one with a pending criminal case. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. I had a sibling with a case against them and Loren got the case dismissed. He worked with me ...by getting all the details and making the best case for my sibling that did not result in jail time. He knows the law and really is willing to fight on your behalf. I am really happy with the decision to choose him and grateful to be able to move forward with my sibling to help them to get better. If you have a case sisimilar I would recommend you choose Loren!

Domestic Violence

My son was charged with Domestic Violence. The main aim of the accuser and prosecution was to convict me son so that he would lose his medical license. Loren very skillfully had the Judge cover his face in disbelief and had him walk away. The trial lasted 45 minutes before the Judge realized that the... police and prosecutor were concealing key evidence. Loren is very professional and no non-sense lawyer. His not cheap but worth every penny. He talks very little but is straight to the point. He is pretty good at returning phone calls. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Loren
