Daniel is and always has been a proud resident of Michigan. He attended De La Salle Collegiate Collegiate High School in Warren. He attended Western Michigan University where he graduated with honors and was a double major in sociology and communications. Thereafter, he attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated in 2010, cum laude. Daniel DeBene passed the bar exam and was admitted to legal practice in 2010.

Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and his rescue dog Opie. In his down time, Daniel enjoys playing guitar, hockey, and golf.

Seeking assistance

I walked in to see Daniel regarding my divorce. I had some paperwork I needed assistance with. Daniel made me feel welcome and assured me he was here to help. I was skeptical, however, he did just that and with ease. He is someone who wants to help and make this process a smooth transition. I felt like I could trust him. Bottom line is I would definitely recommend Daniel to my friends and family. Thanks again!

Knowledge is Power

I would recommend Daniel to anyone that may be facing divorce. He is well versed and knowledgeable from state to state and county to county on the requirements and laws helping streamline the process the best way possible. Very friendly and passionate

I had Danny represent me after my case was finalized and I had many issues where my ex was being difficult intentionally and causing problems. Danny was able to fix the problems with ease. Hopefully my ex learned and will not play anymore games after Danny got involved! Thank you.

Child custody, parenting, & support

We are not completely finished with our case. However Mr. Debene has been very clear & concise about the entire process. He has been very savvy & meticulous in his appoach to getting our goals addressed and accomplished. In my experience he has been economically respectful of my financial status. He provides me with options. When those options may cost me additional money, he has always provided me with a realistic perspective of the necessity of the cost vs the financial gains. Mr. Debene has been very accessible to meet in person, to talk on the phone, and to communicate via email. He has made this entire, exhausting process, much easier for me to get through. His professionalism and mannerisms have been EXCEPTIONAL.

Made a difficult process manageable!

Daniel was wonderful to work with. He was available for questions and issues that popped up throughout my divorce, and kept me in control of the situation from start to finish. Very nice guy and easy to talk to. Highly recommended!

Professional with ethics

We hear all these negative comments about lawyers but that was not my experience with Danny. He was extremely professional yet sensitive to my situation at all times. I was not in town and had moved away from Michigan. He was so efficient that not once did I have to spend money or time to fly to MI. That was such a huge help. He was always concerned about my interest at all times. I don't understand law and he included clauses in my case/ document to protect me both in the present and in the future. My Divorce was quick and as painless as he could possibly make it. And later on there was another case about an asset and again he took care of it for me and I did not once have to travel to MI and it was resolved in my favor.

Thorough, Fair and Efficient

In my business life I have had to deal with alot of attorneys. Danny handled my divorce and it was a great experience. He is not a "nickel and dime", bill your for everything kind of attorney. I hired Danny for my divorce. He encouraged me after our initial consultation to get other options before making the decision to hire him. Even though I knew after meeting with him that would not be necessary I made a few calls. I felt no one else had the integrity that Danny had. He helped me though every step of my divorce and gave solid advice. The most important part is Danny helped me to get a fair deal with my separation well at the same time allowing me to keep my dignity.

A Hard Working Attorney

Danny was extremely helpful through out my divorce and also with some post divorce issues. He always gave me sound advice, even if it was difficult for me to hear. He was compassionate regarding my feelings towards the various issues that arise during divorce. Danny never forced me into a decision I was uncomfortable with. Many times he was able to offer a couple solutions so I could do what I felt most comfortable with. Danny was tough when he needed to be with the other party involved. I will continue to work with Danny as needed for post divorce issues and advice.

Great Experience!

Mr. DeBene was able to help me during a very stressful custody battle. I believe he helped me achieve the best outcome I could possibly get. He was always very straight forward about everything. Fantastic attorney; honest and forthright

I had Danny represent me in a parenting time modification a few years after my Judgment was entered. It was the first time I was back in court since my divorce. When I met with Danny, he explained to me in layman terms what the process entailed, and what to expect. After the initial free consultation, I called and spoke with him again regarding a question I forgot to ask. He happily answered and again, I was not charged. It was very generous. Ultimately, I hired him to help me change parenting time because our kids' day to day lives changed, and the old schedule was not working. Danny and I received everything we asked for with the exception of a later pick up/drop off for our kids. Although I initially wanted it later, I have since come to realize the time the judge ordered is best for the kids. Overall, Danny was very personable and genuine. He truly took an interest in the children's lives and even remembered each child's name and age. It seems trivial but it did show me that he cared, which was very important to me. Also, he seemed to know a low of people in the court room, which also made me comfortable that he clearly has a lot of experience in court. Very very pleased.

Danny is the real deal!! I highly recommend him.

Danny is the best, period. He does his job, has no interest in seeing you waste your money or time and is great at negotiating. He tells you exactly what is going to happen and what you can expect. If ever need to retain an attorney again, it will be Danny.
