Jeniece Suzanne Goldsmith

After having two lawyers who did a less than mediocre job in representing me during my divorce, I was extremely concerned about returning to the FOC to seek a reduction in child support as my earlier attempts had all failed. I recently returned to the court with Jeniece as my counsel, and as nervous... as I was, Jeniece came well prepared to make sure that I had a fair day in court. Jeniece is both personable and professional. She kept me informed during the entire process and at no time did I ever feel short of answers. It's good to know that there are good lawyers who aren't just about the money. I would most definitely call on Jeniece again should the need arise.

Ms Parent was hired to conduct a post conviction evidentiary hearing in Livingston County, which she performed adequately. She was then paid $2000 to draft an appeal. She merely filed an appeal a copy of her original brief for the trial court, indicating to the Appeals Court that she would file an am...ended brief to bring up the new evidence obtained in the trail court. She never filed the amended brief. The appeal was denied. She then promised to file a motion for reconsideration, which she never did. For over two months she would not answer phone calls or emails, even though her agreed fees were fully paid. She practices without an office or secretary, so it is impossible to leave messages. She is fairly competent for a new lawyer, but VERY sloppy on communication and court deadlines.
